HUGE fake review ring busted
Below is a list of 76 user names that were without a doubt registered here solely to create reviews and votes for
ROIDBAZAAR.NET, BUY-AS.NET, LEGITGEAR.CC and BOLDER.CC.
These were manually checked and selected as fakes with help from a 3rd party spam/scam analytics service.
- 90% of users listed below voted for every source listed above.
- 100% of these users follow the register-pic-vote rinse and repeat pattern. (e.g.: voted 7 weeks ago, last seen 7 weeks ago)
- IP and ISP all reported (anywhere from 20 to 2000 IPs per user), at some point by major spam-hunting services.
- Zero to 5 friends.
- Mostly no content except replies to their own pics.
- Karma voting ring, meaning they only vote other scam "buddies" accounts.
I'm leaving these accounts and content available for one week so you can check for yourself.
Above sources are of course penalized. Votes deleted and a banner warning posted in their review pages.

Bread crumbs for LE if they should ever get their hands on a server, they can link you to your eroids account and have a field day culling through your reviews and pics.
Of course, you have little to worry about due to your lack of reviews and scant number of pics you've posted during the time you've been a member.

I don’t get it. This stuff is in such ridiculously high demand that it practically sells itself if the quality is consistent and word of mouth spreads organically. Why even chance it? It makes no sense, even from a business standpoint. All it will do is harm reputation, perhaps even irreparably. To wit, if a source will essentially buy reviews, what’s to stop them from underdosing intentionally once they have a big enough clientele base that they no longer think they need to worry about earning positive reviews? It’s just not a good look

I wouldn't worry about your order. Nobody is saying these sources are not delivering or delivering shitty gear. We are saying they are cheating to rise in the rankings. They are not the first and won't be the last

jayiskI have never chosen a src by their review page. I closely follow their SI pg constantly. That will give you a more accurate picture of the src and enough red flags will show up there if the src is off.
and i never follow the rating system.
take for example the US domestic. its top 10 is mostly international srcs offering domestic shipping.
But why pay 2 to 3 x's more for the gear, $30 shipping, and having it take just as long as an international order for you to get your gear.
makes no sense to me when there are a bunch of good solid domestic srcs with good prices and fast t/a times.

well at least the effort is being put in. i mean this isn't a darknet market. of course they will get busted after time but more will always replace them. they at least have better security measures in place (plus prices aren't so insane but that is relative to the demand of the user of course). This is better than nothing, but there is zero protection here compared to a darknet market where you had protection if you tried to get scammed. again, user at your own risk so is what it is. i just appreciate that some effort is being put in for people's protection so thanks.
Darknet markets are far from safe bro. Look at what happened with Silkroad. There was actually proposed legislation that would make you subject to LE scrutiny and possibly prosecuted for even using a TOR browser or onion router. The darknet was invented by the military. To think that you can anonymously operate there is naive, but that's exactly what they want you to think. Not to mention the lack of accountability sources have there. This site is as safe as any other. Actually it's safer for the consumer due to the Eroids source verification process. Why else do you think it's been around so long.

ClassyChassisIts also possible that this is just people taking advantage of sources that offer discounts for reviews. Especially since 90% of them voted for all four sources. That seems way more likely to me than 4 sources colluding together.
Say a source offers a 20% discount for a review. I create a fake account and leave review for said discount. I then may as well use the same fake account to vote for other sources that offer discount. That makes way more sense to me than a conspiracy between these 4 sources.
Of course by offering a discount a source is encouraging this behaviour.

That's the whole point of the site.
This is why I don't put much faith into reviews from low karma or new members. Need to have at least a little bit street cred before I consider what they are saying. Most useful aspect of the site is bloodwork I think. Look at the reviews AND bloodwork to pick your source.
Bunk reviews are obvious. After reading so many of then it's almost a cut and paste, seen the same post over and over knocking the source and referring another source to the post. I'm dumber than a coffin nail and I can pinpoint them without much effort. Common knowledge really
Like you said on a prior post, and I could not have phrased it any better and it's a "hit and miss" for me at times; It's a broad phrase but for crying out loud, now this just throws up red flags. It doesn't mean that this stuff is bogus or bunk or however, but the Fn greed. This is not a game. Few of these sources have legitimately worked their ass off to get to their spot. And then these mods will bust some ass on here real quick. They really do catch on to BS or will eventually catch on and just start banning. Seen it. No arguing, no talking or lecturing, NadA, whi needs a threat to not only financial but to also our health and well being

My team and me were shocked when we read the announcement.
And now i have to announce as well that we are not a part of this fake review ring !!
This is most probably a group that tries to get store credits and free products for reviews.
And unfortunately they were at the right address with us, as we easily give store credits and free products for a given review according to our loyalty store credit program.

We are researching all our data, and we found out already proofs, how they acted with their accounts in our system, via which they were in contact with us.
We are still checking all details, also informed admin about our own researches.
Again ... these reviews are not written by us, and we are not a part of this organization.
We also saw, that many more than the named 4 sources received reviews from the given nick names. and we are in absolutely no contact to the named 4 sources, and we are not a part of this group of people who wrote these reviews.
As said, probably as they understood that they get free products and store credits easily at us, they wrote several reviews on our review page. When a review is written, we check the review and then give as promised in our loyalty store credit program a store credit or free products, and most of the other sources do that as well.
And there are many more reviews on our review page than written from these named nicks. And they are all real. Many of the written reviews are from well known members.
And they are written positive because of our good service. We did, do, and will always continue to offer best highest quality genuine products at best prices with best service.
I hope this issue gets resolved soon. If there is any support needed from our side we will do it. And as said we are still in research of this in our system.
Again, sorry for the late reply, but we had to understand first, what happened here.
We have also proofs from our system, that we also passed over to admin (of course without sensitive information) and we first would need to wait for the OK of admin to give a link to those.
Of course i can just give the info we have by ourselves, admin has much more info and i hope this issue will get cleared soon.
And don't worry, all given and ongoing orders are processed as usual and all new orders will be processed without any problem.

The big mistake you have here is offering free gear in return for a review. That's deffinately against the rules.
