First cycle, Anavar

ad

Hi all. I am a 50 y.o. female starting my first cycle and my coach has recommended that I run 20 mg Anavar with Nolvadex. Questions:

  1. Anyone have experience running Nolvadex their whole Var cycle? If so can you share your dosage and whether there were any problems with it?

  2. I have read almost everywhere to start 5-10mg Var. He says that realistically 5-10 mg won't do much for me. Is 20 mg unreasonable to start out of the gate with? I'm planning on doing a 6 week cycle for starters. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Btw, I'm 150 lbs, bulking (if this info makes any difference).

Thanks for your feedback in advance!!

I ran 10mgs var and worked great...I titrated up from 2.5 within a 2 week time period...I loved the strength increase and pumps. I totally disagree with your coach. I have been lifting for 20+ years so I have a solid base and it was awesome for my physique...I'm gonna run it again except I'm only going to run 5mgs or 7.5 bec I had bad insomnia the last time. good luck

Thanks, alayna. Always helps to read someone else's experience. I started with the Nolva but tapered off of it mid cycle after considering the advice I received here and just reading about it in general. It just seemed like more worry than it was worth. Besides, with the reason for taking it being to hinder fat gainz :-) I had doubts about the level of fat I'd pick up on Var anyway because so many said that Var seemed to help them keep fat off. A few said they actually ate crap and still didn't pick up fat so...yeah I've been rolling without the Nolva for a bit. Good luck with your next cycle!

If your coach recommended you take tamoxifen then look for a new coach because he doesn't know anything about AAS . If your going ahead with your cycle buy your anavar from a reputable source or manufacturer because sometimes you'll get winstrol instead of anavar and you wouldn't want that .
My wife uses 10-15mg for 4 weeks and it works well and does about 2 cycles a year but always start low to gauge side effects etc.

Curious, Irish. Does your wife do the 2 cycles to bulk and then cut on it? If not, how does she use her cycles?

Please let us know if your trainer tells you to add anything else. So I can stick my foot in his ass. The advice your getting from me is free. Work out hard and the anavar will help you recover much faster than normal, your strength will go through the ceiling and you should lose bf and gain muscle.

Always start low...

Are you female? If so 10mg is plenty

sheready's picture

Yes, female. Yeah, 10mg is what I'm reading in info about Var for females but was just hoping to hear from people's firsthand experiences since I have read here and there that 20mg is the top end but that many started with 5mg to ease into it. Isn't exactly sitting right with me to break out in a full 20mg from the very start.

my advice is always think a few years ahead. If you start on 20mg of anavar your gonn a reach a point where you need to increase. You are very limited what you can safely take. Start at 5 or 10 at most. My wife runs 10mg for a month few months off and it works each time at same dose. No side effects

Ok. Good to know. Questions:
1. Does she do any kind of PCT? Taper off? Cold turkey?
2. Does she run an estrogen blocker with the var cycle to stave off body fat gains (if she's bulking on it)?

RangerVet's picture

No. She uses 10mg a day for 30 days. No estrogen blockers.simple and effective. Bulk more calories. That's it train your ass off lol

Got it. Thx a lot!

Yeah, I'm not finding it to be very common to run at the same time. I see males running it near the end of their cycle or after as part of PCT but I don't see females running it at all. Definitely makes me nervous about it.

RangerVet's picture

Any time you read about pct disregard it. Nolvadex is good for women if they get breast cancer to lower estrogen so it inhibits cancer growth. Otherwise pct is for men only. You don't even have to worry about it. Let us know how your progressing

Thx! Will do. :-)
