+ 1 What a tragedy! One of the greatest athletes ever! Loving father

ad

I loved Kobe. Today has been horrible. When I see him with his daughter it really hits home. Celebs die everyday but this one did some reason really hurts.

The deaths of famous people should be handled in the public fora with honesty, not uncritical reverence.

I didn't want to start a war on this thread guys , just my opinion how celebs get all the news when something happens to them , and how the death of a serviceman goes the bottom of the screen ,, while celebs are right there front and center about this and that,,,, just my opinion , that's it, take it for what it is,,, or isn't lol I don't mind eaither way , ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lift on

You've just basically repeated what you've already said below which should have never been said in the first place - 2 young girls have lost their father & sister at the same time in a horrific event, god knows how devastated they are currently feeling. Personally I think you should STFU ....

What about his 2003 rape accusation? I mean, she was paid off, great basketball player.... but I mean.... it’s no different than I guess r Kelly and Michael Jackson still greats.... but idk.... I’m a Jordan fan... sooo it doesn’t matter to me either way.... but still ya know when people that are so great at one thing their misdeeds get brushed aside

Forehead's picture

I never said he needed to, but I’m just saying that we brushed aside misdeeds when people are great.... just cause they don’t have to rape doesn’t mean they don’t, I’m just saying we put all this emphasis on famous people, and some of them are dastardly , I don’t even like the lakers Blum 3 I’m also desensitized to death

The charges were dropped. The two parties later settled a civil suit.

Bro, I only brought it up because it’s a common thread... he also paid out in the civil caSe, Michael Jackson was also found innocent, and OJ... I’m just downplaying celebrities in general, they get luxuries normal people don’t have because of their status.... let me act the fuck out and my state will sit my ass down for a quick 3-8 .... I don’t think that’s fair... guilt or not.... bro I’m sorry I’m just gonna stop I understand the message u are trying to convey here and I just don’t sympathize like people do during tragic events.... I wish I could.... I’m sorry , I still love ya much Smile

I feel bad for the family and all , buttt…..

i think our servicemen and women should get this kind of "spotlight: when they get killed , but they don't,and they keep this country, the good old usa safe and protect our rights,,,, not someone who makes millions because he can throw a ball around,
society is so backwards ,, its like wiping youre ass than taking a shit,, like wtf,,im sorry if any snowflake gets upset over this,, but this is a fact.. again i feel bad for the familys who are dealing with this loss , but lets keep it real , the spotlight is always in the wrong direction,, the woman's basketball coach that was also on the heli , u see nothing on fb about that or on the news and if u do its a 10 sec part of the 40 min on the nba player .so backwards. rant over

He has touched our hurt with that ball you talking about!
He has done a lot to young people they see him as idol not a service man went for free education and free housing etc
Rest In Peace Kobe and US troops

Don’t you think getting all bent outta shape and offended because of something you saw on tv is a little “snowflake” of you?

The difference is that servicemen sign up to do a job where they are likely to go to war and kill others, where there is every chance they may be killed themselves. It's a fact they accept so its less surprising when it happens as opposed to a very rare and gifted sportsman who was obviously extremely well liked by millions of people.

I've never been a follower of Basketball but you can tell from all of the pictures both he and his family are a bunch of truly nice people, genuine smiles and happiness shine in photo's. If things like this can happen to him they can happen to anyone - another reminder to live everyday as if its your last :-)
