Strict Custom Check During The Global Pandemic Period
Lost my shipments during the Global Pandemic and it's really turn to headache
I been living in Germany for long time and ordered gears from all around the Europe for many years and there wasn't any problems. In beginning of January i moved to US (wasn't good time for it) but anyway, since i moved to US i keep placing orders from my EU sources and probably that was the mistake, since during the next 4 month i lost about half of everything that i paid for, another half took 3-4 month to receive. In June i decide to try to order from US sources (much more expensive, but if it's safe, then it's alright) and during the June and July i placed 5 orders and lost 2 of them and first of all I'm loosing the money again (some shops simply not covering shipments, if there is no seizing letter from custom) and it's for sure not safe to keep doing the same things, so i decide to take a break.
Now i nearly run out of my gear and planning to place another order through US source.
The question that i want to ask is not about source, cause there is a tonnes of sources. The question is, if anyone have the same situation?

Not international but domestic has been 100% . 10+ packs 100% of them got here . Also from several different sources.
I've been getting packages from International sources without issue. Packages not making it through customs falls on the sender. They aren't taking proper precautions to ensure delivery. They need to utilize stealth shipping and properly fill out custom form. Also they need to make sure their return address isn't flagged.
Russian post is slow as usual, they need no virus to be slow.

Is the US worse than Australia for ordering gear in nowadays?
Stuff was slow at first during covid but I just got an international and 7 days from eu ...from what I've heard Australia is a nightmare...but getting stuff from China here right now is still bad.. I guess it depends who and where order from
I have no example for Australia. It is another planet for me because so far away but I know that United States parcels get controlled much more than parcels from EU or China.
If you ship something from here to United States it gets 90% to border. If you ship something to EU they do not control only if you ship to Germany or Swiss, borders control it 100%.

AnonNew Zealand is the only place worse than australia because their customs department is small enough to inspect every single pack. That's what it looked like on the TV show. It's a small lil place lol but it's beautiful and they want to preserve it, including keeping drugs out.
There are good home sources on the site. Send them a PM and talk about this problem. You won't be disappointed.
Usually domestic shipments are the safest and fastest.
Plenty of us domestic ships in a few days. Like mentioned check out some reviews I have a picture up with a good us source . don't know why you think they are more expensive . Maybe looking at the wrong supplier. Shop around, you won't be disappointed if you do a little research.

I personally haven't had problems with the sources so much. Maybe a bit slow, however the issue may be the USPS.
Have had a ton of problems with them loosing packages, mail etc. I'm not the only one either.
So it could very well be an issue with that!

ClassyChassisThe source you consider, read their SI discussion page. Usually members comment on receiving packs, TA, etc. You can also ask if packs are landing and see what response you get. Always good to take current temperature. Good luck!

Molinin302Same, although I will add that I don't have them delivered to a residential address or P.O. box. Hundreds if not a thousand pieces of mail, dozens of FedEx deliveries daily. I'm sure you see where I'm going with this... it helps to have buffers.
AnonYeah some sources won't re ship to an address that had a seized pack before.
