I'm just saying this so people think about having personal info attached to this website. Once you hit send it's gone. There's no putting the toothpaste back in the tube. It's out there and you don't have any idea who's gonna get it. People have been hacked on here before as Greg has reminded us. So the source gets his account on here hacked and all of a sudden the hacker has hundreds of members info in his inbox.
I was asked by a source that is/was running a promo when his site wasn't working for me to give him my info via pm and he would handle it. I just think it's a bad idea and shouldn't be done or asked for. You do what you want.

Besides being against the rules. There is absolutely no need for anyone to PM any kind of private info.
Ever thought about doing a secure PM option? Each user provides their own public PGP key and messsage's are auto encrypted. Receiver uses private PGP key offline to decrypt, that way priv keys are never stored on Eroids, only public for initial encryption.
That would encourage sales through pm which is against the rules. But the point of my post wasn't about sales but rather giving personal info to a source via pm bypassing the sources website. Which has been verified through this wonderful site we all love.

Try to use a username email address and password for all srcs websites and for all forums. That way all they can do is get into your forum account and other srcs sites.
Also there is something called an email scrubber they will apply this to a website and every single email and password they collect.
Then they can hack your email because its usually the same password and then they own you.
This is a really simple thing that they do all the time and srcs won't know for months alot of times because srcs are cheap and don't have the proper amount of security services on there sites.
There are so many other phishing scams its crazy just be careful brothers. Don't ever use your banking information or bitcoin information for anything else and make sure that those passwords are both different.
Use 2FA for everything possible that you can right now its probably the best and most secure.
Be safe brothers I can't stress how important 2FA is to use especially for anything to do with money.

True. But in reality hackers have hacked the best of security systems and have gotten personal information on millions of people at a time.
But yes def. a good idea to use different passwords and def. use a secure email for ordering stuff like gear. Never use your personal gmail account or something like that.

Your right hackers have been able to do alot more than just crack simple security services but you would be surprised at how some of the srcs keep there site wide open to attacks and hacks. I can think of 2 this year and one really big one that no one would have ever thought would have happened
My Identity, (as some of you know who have been around for a while) was hacked from a sources website and posted here on eroids.
And, some accounts on eroids have been attacked because they've used the same login for this site as they had for the sources site (again security issue with the source) If that is ever the case again, you never know who you're giving your info to.
That said, eroids is a review site. All sales should be on the sources site. Any transactions done on this site is a bannable offence as that would make eroids a platform for selling illicit goods.
As for exchanging personal and sensitive info, Damned if you do, damned if you don't. The risk is everywhere. Be aware of the risk.

A lot of legit sites work offline for different reasons. Maybe some can't keep a site running right; others feel safer this way.
Honestly, what’s the difference? If it’s a trusted/verified source.... your sending your info to his illegal company or sending it to him here for him to illegally fill.
Either way it’s the same outcome.

I think you are being a bit paranoid. The pm feature here while it should not be used to order is a relatively safe medium. The source is the only one accessing his/her pm's just like you. Emails I would be much more sketchy about since they actually offer up tracks.
What brought all of this on anyway? I have been here several years now and strangely enough I can recall zero issues.

The addresses i use are ones that i wouldnt care about if something happened if that makes sense.
I just give a lil sling their way for letting me use.
