Thanks for taking the time to post this up Smile do you not find it fairly heavy going with yoghurts and eggs in each meal sitting - I'm guessing you must also get other carbs in such as potatoes/pasta to fuel heavy training sessions also?

The yogurts and eggs were rough at first. Just the volume and dairy. But i got used to it. Im stubborn lol. My preworkout meal is the 280g carb shake so that fuels me pretty well.

Sometimes i replace the yogurt with jasmine rice... enough to equal the same amount of carbs

I'm curious as to why 2 separate shakes post wo and not just mixing the dextrose and whey together?

5percent4life's picture

The only reason is my dextrose is fruit punch and fruit punch vanilla protein shake probably tases awful lol. If i get unflavored dextrose i do same shake

Makes sense. I stick with the unflavored for just that reason.

Yep defo stick with unflavoured dextrose, I think it tastes great in pretty much anything thats liquid lol Don't know about you but I've tried Vitargo, Waxy maize, Maltodextrin, cluster dextrin etc and nothing works as well or tastes as nice as good old fashioned dextrose for immediate energy I've found. You find the unmentionable really ramps things up for strength PWO?

Same here man. I had the flu a few weeks ago and was off for 10 days. Not eating right and not being able to train gets me in a “poor me” depressed mood quick. It sucks feeling like your losing muscle and getting fat at the same
Time

The whole situation is a test of the mind more than anything, the longer you rest the worse you feel compounded by feeling ill in the first place - all whilst each time you look in the mirror you get smaller as you sweat out more water and lose more muscle mass and glycogen. It genuinely feels like the world is gonna end! lol I'm gonna fall ill tomorrow now haha Being out whilst waiting for surgery must be wayyy worse though..
