STATS, DESCRIPTION, GOALS

I am hoping to put on some weight. Im 180 and pretty lean, I'm looking to be around the 200lb mark when the cycle is over. Im a really hard gainer so hopefully this will be the bump i need to get where i want to be. I was thinking of kicking back the test to 500mg/week, maybe ill start there and work my way up to 750.

Ok eat more got it. I try to get in 3500ish calories a day. Some days less some days more, ill admit my dieting is a little weak.

I'm sorry but short of just being a massive individual or a health condition there is no such thing as a 'hardgainer' and if there was it certainly isn't a 6'1 'lean' 180lb 27 year old man. You need to learn how to eat. You should have no trouble eating your way to 220lbs. I've been there. You just need more food not more drugs.

I think a few guys here know my opinion , 8wks deca is too short! But since I'v read vhman's comment and looked to your profile. There is a simple advice from me: E A T and don't pin !!!!

I'm sorry, you're small.

Diet?

I'm 6'2" and 235 and I wouldn't run this.
You're very underweight for a cycle like this. Sure appears that your diet, at a minimum is lacking. "Hard Gainer" is another phrase for lack of consistent food.
What is your cycle history?

This would be my third cycle and the two before it were 8 wks test E at 500mg with 30 mgs d bol to start for 3 weeks. Ive never done anything really more than that. Ive made pretty decent gains with that I was at 165 consistently until I did my first cycle about 4 years ago. My goal is to be 210-215 at my body fat percentage which is between 8-10. Eating is defiantly my weak point, Ive been pretty consistent the past couple months at 3500 calories a day. It was tuff for me to keep a consistent diet because I would be gone for prolonged periods of time with nothing but shit food at my disposal. But I planned on upping my my cal intake over the next 2 months to 250 cal extra per week so I'm intaking enough food for when I start the cycle. I don't know about most people but its hard to force feed myself 4500 calories a day without working my way up to it.

That's one thing i learned the hard way my whole life I've never had a appetite only eat once a day at night before bed. Ran my first cycle and ate just like I have always i gained some but that's cause it was my first cycle. ran my second cycle did the same didn't gain shit just wasting gear. Came here read a ton and it's night and day in muscle gain from food and I'm still struggling but I'm at least 3 to 4 meals on days. So +1 to you man people don't realize how important food is I got 2 breast on the grill right now my friend tis the season for the grill to start coming out

It's a learning process and eroids is the best place to come and lean and share.
Diet is by far the hardest part of this lifestyle, but it's the most important.
Glad you're taking it step by step. You don't get there overnight. I was naturally skinny (ectomoroh) and it was always a struggle. I just kept forcing myself to eat and I kept gaining.
Now that I'm old, I really work on clean foods and keeping my muscle mass and fat down. It's fun to work and tweak things.

I wouldn't say the diet aspect is "hard," just annoying and at times infuriating. Compared to training hard, dieting hard is easy.

vhman's picture

Glad you find it easy. Most don't and I certainly don't find it easy to eat six or more meals a day for month on end. I enjoy the gym and working hard.
I suppose everyone is different.

It does suck sometimes but the way I see it, the privileged can afford to hire someone to not only meal plan but cook and meal prep. Then all that's left is to shovel it in the pie hole and chew. Training, no one else can do it for you. There's no two ways about it; ya gotta move some weight.

I HATE dieting and meal prep and forcefeeding and starving myself. I LOVE training. But still, just because I enjoy training doesn't make it easier than cooking and eating. I think we agree more than it appears, we're just using the word "hard" a little differently. I don't know.

Yeah I like tweaking stuff food is so different with people my buddy can eat and eat and eat and not gain but if I look at non clean food I'll gain fat. Like my post workout was 4 eggs and a peanut butter sandwich and I would gain a little more fat from my eggs with hot sauce and 2 cups apple sauce that i eat now after gym both with chicken breast of course wish it was fried but hey can't have it all

Food = the "bump" to get you to your goal. Not the gear.
Also 6ft1in at 180 = you ain't putting in enough work at gym or with nutrition
