+ 1 Newbie Cycle - Test/Var
Sup kids!
Wanting to try my first cycle of the good stuff and wanted to see what you guys think. I have done tons of research and I feel I am ready. I know it is frowned upon to do more than test for the first cycle, but wanted to run a mild oral as well to aid in cutting. I have everything in hand, but will refrain from taking depending on the advice. I've been training for 8+ years. Have gotten great results with proper diet and training, but decided to switch it up a bit and come to the dark side.
Goals:
To get lean and drop below 10% bf. I know it is possible to get to that bf % without gear, but you have to make goals attainable and anything more is a plus.
Stats:
26 yrs
6'1"
240lbs
12-13% bf
Athletic build
Diet:
Going to be on low carbs and high protein diet with moderate fats.
Training:
Mon: Chest/Tri
Tuesday: Shoulders/Abs
Wed: Legs
Thurs: Back/Bi/Abs
Fri: Chest/Tri
Sat: Shoulders/Legs/Abs
20 minutes before and after workout cardio (inclined treadmill, cycling or stair master)
Supps:
Whey Protein
Multivitamin
Fish Oil
Liv 52 DS (2 Pills 3 x Day)
BCAAs
Just wanting to see if it matters whether or not I take the var starting the 3rd week or push it out 2 more weeks and run it 2 weeks post test cyp. Also, do I need to take arimidex starting week 1 or week 3 and should I run it to through PCT?

So, I have edited my cycle log to exclude the var. Going to use the gear to make solid gains and cut in a few months. May revisit test/var cycle then. Going to start pinning next week. Wish me luck! I am little girl when it comes to pinning. The sacrifices we make!
mustafa5903Not a bad first cycle. I like it. Just my opinion and with those stats you're probably an animal.
If I was you I would spread my test into 12 weeks at the same dose. If you really want to throw in the var go right ahead. Personally I think it's a waste though. You should see what test alone does to your body. Maybe for your next cycle throw in the var.
Still not a terrible idiotic cycle. Your diet will play a bigger role than the var itself. I would focus on increasing calories. Protein carbs should be through the roof for your first cycle.
Yea Mustafa. Pretty decently sized right now. I guess being my first time, I have the images of blowing up and looking ridiculous. Sort of like when girls think they will look all muscular after one set of curls. That is part of why I was thinking of using the gear to cut. Thanks for your honesty. Going to run just the test alone to see how my body develops.
bigmurphAt 26 stick with test you can achieve what ever you want using test no other reason to add var costs alot and you can get enough with just test especially 500mgs
I also believe in cutting with diet and exercise not gear you use gear to gain

1st cycle and you want to cut? You are missing out on the best gains of your life! You only get 1 first cycle. Don't waste it!
This is great advice guys. Being my first cycle, I want to make sure that I maximize my gains. Rethinking this to make sure I do not sell myself short. Not going to do a cut until later.
My thought exactly. Already at 12% and wants to do a cycle to drop to 10% or so. You are basically there already so it wouldn't take much to drop down to that. My advice would be to hit your 10% with diet alone and then hit a cycle to put on some solid quality mass.
I agree. Diet down to 8-10% where abs are looking good. Stay there until you get tired of cardio and restricted calories and then hit your 1st cycle. Bulk to 15% or so eating and lifting BIG! Abs are fun to have, but unless you are naturally lean, maintaining them year round limits your gains imo. Put them on for summer and kiss them goodbye in winter.
Brother at 26 years old, sound like you're in pretty good shape, you'll be amazed at what running a test only cycle will do for you, especially if you have your diet and training dialed in. You don't even need to run the dosage as high as you proposed and you'll get great gains. It'll probably be the best cycle of your life too. Keep it simple, lift heavy and eat.

This is down to your diet, not the compounds you use.
