+ 4 New Guy

ad
STATS, DESCRIPTION, GOALS

I have been working out for 7 months now. I was 392 and now am 286. I started testosterone replacement after personal study and consulting with others. Seeking advice! Please know - I am completely new to this.

2300 cal diet. Macros- Protein 40%, Carbs 35%, Fat 25%

I do my best trying to reach those numbers but often fall a few hundred calories short. I stay within the percentage range plus or minus a few daily.

Any advice on ancillaries as well? Thank you guys! Much love!

Hey man! Nice work on the AWESOME weight loss journey! Keep up the excellent work and I look forward to hearing more about your journey.

The other guys have already hit the nail on the head and you're awesome for being so humble and receptive, it's like a breath of fresh air to all of us. Most guys can be down right stubborn and resentful when they get advice they don't want to hear. Get that bloodwork done and you will have a much better idea of how to proceed and how to increase your overall health. I still get bloodwork done before, during and after a cycle every time.

Good luck man and don't be a stranger if you have any questions!

18 year drug and alcohol addiction. Depression and anxiety for years. One day I had enough. God has been my saving grace and the gym has been my healthy outlet. I’ve had my biggest mental breakthroughs in the gym. Some of my biggest cries (just being honest) were in the gym by overcoming what my mind would say I couldn’t do. I’m not looking to be a body builder. I’m just trying to stay in my lane, get around a good group of people, get more educated, and stay positive for myself and others.

No offense taken and you are definitely right dude. I’m definitely going to the doc this week after seeing these responses. I appreciate the advice man!

Generally this is true, but keep in mind his high body fat percentage and lack of bloodwork. Higher body fat % can cause alot of armotising. He needs to check it with blood work to know for sure.

frowmaster2000's picture

Yes this is exactly what a couple friends had been telling me. But now I’m definitely going to get bloodwork this week.

E2 (estrogen) can be very unique per each individual. Like I said, I understand why you might need one( an ai) on a low test dose and high bf. But at the same time, moderate e2 levels are not bad for the body and crashing your e2 is a big no no. Sure, there are people on here that are in tune with their hormones enough to know when e2 is high or low without bloodwork, but being a newbie like yourself, I doubt you have the experience.

Learn the process, learn the compounds, and most off all learn your body and be safe.

HIT IT LIKE A BOY DOG!

Thanks guys! The encouragement means a lot! I’m gonna get the bloodwork done ASAP and get plugged in here

Good job with the weight loss. Just keep in mind TRT is forever. At your age that’s something you gotta think about. Get some bloods done.

Halsey's picture

Hey brother, why did you start a self ( I'm assuming) administration of testosterone? Did you ever get bloodwork or consult a doctor before you started this journey? There alot more questions after that, but they can wait.

frowmaster2000's picture

I have not gotten blood work done. I realize now that should have been my first step. I was very turned off by the prices of TRT vs what I could find in the gym. I was dealing with a lot of depression and mood swings. Also trouble concentrating and honestly getting aroused and staying hard. My hair is also thinning very badly. And clearly I would like the accelerated help with the body transformation. Irresponsible move on my part not going to the doc.

I'm not looking to crush you by no means, just looking at the big picture as a whole. Bloodwork nonetheless is important when running hormones and to overall health/safety. Stay strong and positive.

Don't put yourself down though pal - you are still moving in a very positive direction.
