+ 3 First Cycle. Thoughts & Advice?
Stats: 27yo / 178cm / 76.5kg / 9% BF
Years lifting natural: 6
Starting weight before any training: 59kg
This will be my first cycle. I am looking to start this in 4 weeks time.
Goals: Gain muscle mass
To compete again in Mens Physique April 2017 (just competed two weeks ago)
Blood work:
2weeks prior to cycle.
6weeks into cycle.
6weeks after completed PCT.
Nutrition:
Please keep in mind I'm am 2 weeks post show currently, slowly reverse dieting increasing kcal's each week to eventually well above maintenance kcal's. TDEE at 3128kcal, will increase to 3350kcal.
Current kcals: 2815
245P / 340C / 55F
Training:
6 x Weight sessions per week:
3x Heavy: Chest & Back / Legs / Shoulders & Arms
3x Volume: Chest & Back / Legs / Shoulders & Arms
5x HIIT Sessions Fasted: 30min, X-trainer - 30s sprint/1min rest
Drugs:
Test E - wk 1-12 - 500mg/wk @ 250mg E3.5D
AI - wk 4-12 - Adex @ .25mg E3.5D

14 days after last injection of Test:
Week 1 Nolvadex 40mg and Clomid 100mg a day
Week 2 Nolvadex 40mg and Clomid 100mg a day
Week 3 Nolvadex 20mg and Clomid 50mg a day
Week 4 Nolvadex 20mg and Clomid 50mg a day

rocketballzLooks reasonable to me. As far as the hcg goes...if you're going to use it use it sparingly...like if you notice ball shrinkage..which you might around week 8ish. Two hcg shots every other week, after you notice shrinkage, will keep your balls plump, but don't overdo it. Desensitisation is real and you don't want it. The other use for hcg is as a blast while waiting to start pct from a long estered cycle like you have laid out. Some guys blast 1000 to 1500 ius or so eod during the 2nd week of waiting to start pct to help to get a signal. even if its just mimicking real LH, to the leydig cells to produce some natty test and hopefully speed up recovery. I did it last cycle and had zero hormonal crash pre, during, and post pct. And don't fool yourself...it can take 5 months or more to get back to homeostasis after a cycle...even just a 12 weeker of test e only, so remember to get bloods at least 4 months post pct and preferablty 5 or 6 to see how well you recovered.
I see a lot of contrasting views on the use of HCG in general as well as on a first cycle. would be great to get peoples further thoughts on this? to gather a more in depth understand. or is it just personal preference?
To put in in layman's terms, if my balls aren't hanging and they are hiding like a frightened turtle, I'll do a couple weeks of say 1000 ius a week (500 2x week) till they settle back, otherwise I don't use it. To each his own, everyone has their own opinions on it and most of all peoples bodies act different.
It's a beneficial compound and its use is relative to subjective and objective data.

hCG-induced testicular desensitization is characterized by inhibition at the level of the C-17,20-lyase enzyme. This defect has been attributed to an early rise in oestradiol (E2) following hCG administration.

Bottom line: hcg causes Leydig cell desensitization and E2 increase. You don't need this, especially not now on your first cycle. The cons outweigh the pros.

Looks like you put a lot of thought into this which is good. The cycle layout looks fine, except I wouldn't mess with the HCG during your first cycle. Really shouldn't be needed for a cycle like this. Just adds another complexity which you don't need during a first cycle.
I don't know where all this reverse dieting talk is coming from nowadays. Coming off a show with low bodyfat, your body is primed to put any additional cals into lean mass. You are going to make your most gains right now so don't short-circuit those gains with this reverse diet stuff. Start eating like you mean it because virtually all those extra cals are going to be put on as lean body mass right now. Only going 200 calories or so above maintenance isn't going to get you very far in terms of gains. Bare minimum you should be 500 cals above TDEE right now to take advantage of your post show rebound. On cycle you should be shooting for 750-1000 cals above maintenance, especially starting off with a lower bodyfat, if you want to see any significant gains.
Cut that cardio way down also. Keep a little bit in there for some cardiovascular health, but you are way overdoing it if you are trying to put on mass.
Ya bro. This is the ONLY "lean bulk" there is. LMAO I can't believe I said it, but this is a post show phenomenon that only applies to folk that compete.

Reasoning behind the reverse dieting was personally to keep the body fat low while still adding a bit of size. from previous experience of going all out and pushing the kcals immediately post show i put on a lot of unnecessary boy fat.
Thanks for the tip on approx surplus of kcal's when on cycle, this was also something I was unsure of!
Cardio will definitely be decreasing to those levels moving forwards.
You can't be afraid of a little fat if you want to gain any appreciable lean mass. It is just part of the game. Here are a couple of methods you can try to minimize the fat and maximize the muscle when bulking.
