How do you find a doctor familiar with AAS?
ad
Hey eroids.
I’m relatively new to AAS. About a year ago I started. I monitor my labs using a variety of sources (reddit, friends who have experience, chatgpt) which is not ideal. Also when I go to establish with a new doc, I tell them what I’m using (because my labs will reveal somethings off). But I’m curious what others do to find medical professionals who are knowledgeable about AAS and TRT and can do harm reduction.
How do you find good medical providers?

I used a Endocrinology Physician. Does every test under the sun. Im honest about what I take to him. They know your on stuff anyway when they see your physical build and definitely know when the bloodwork starts comming in
I’ve always been told not to mention illegal drug use to your doctor. They will write that on your medical record. Probably effects all sorts of things like life insurance
I think a lot will depend on where you live in the world as to how you play this, what to expect and how much to tell your Doctor. In the UK don't expect any Dr to be into weight lifting or to have used AAS themselves because that doesn't happen, they also have the bare minimum knowledge on how they affect you and your bloodwork - only really that Liver values will suffer and maybe cholesterol. I would be totally honest with them as when they see you Bloodwork they will wonder why all of a sudden everything is either a little elevated or suddenly looking like you are Dying/have cancer if you begin running things like Trenbolone and Anadrol lol If you run Toxic compounds like Tren then areas like Kidneys, Liver, Blood counts even electrolytes will ALL suddenly look BAD!!! I tend to find that many will not judge you and be impartial to what you are doing - Some will stay say to stop them as they have seen a number of people get long term Heart problems and Kidney problems (which is true) and others appreciate it is part of modern gym culture. Surprisingly I have not yet had them throw at me 'Why should we give you BP medication when it is clear it is being used to run Anabolic Steroids' which I figured I would of.
I must admit that often I do feel a bit of an arsehole as many of the complications I have had over the past 10 years have been directly related to AAS use and you know they are sat there thinking how stupid is this guy clearly affecting his health by doing this - because lets face it those blood tests would be continually perfect if I weren't running them. This however is the beauty of this website, you can learn how to interpret the results and if there is anything you are unsure of there are hundreds of people on here who will chime in and tell you what certain elevations mean and how to deal with them and rectify problems. By learning what each of the results and parameters mean you will in turn learn much more biologically about the human body which will help you no end in general life, and with giving other help that you know. I know when I give my Father advice on his blood tests he is wondering exactly how and why I know all this given I use to be very squeemish about blood and have no interest in Biology lessons LMAO
It really depends on what you want the doctor for.
If your goal is harm reduction and lab oversight, you can honestly manage all of that yourself with regular bloodwork and guidance from experienced people here. You’ll usually get more practical AAS-specific feedback on boards like this than from a random PCP who has zero experience with supraphysiologic use.
If you’re looking for a prescription, that’s a different thing entirely. In that case, most people just use an online TRT clinic. Some are fine with outside labs, others require their own, and many need either documented hypogonadal labs or an existing script to continue care.
Finding a traditional in-person doctor who’s knowledgeable and comfortable managing AAS use is rare. Most will either ignore it, discourage it, or refuse to engage beyond standard TRT ranges.
So first decide what you actually need:
lab interpretation
harm reduction
or a prescription
Once that’s clear, the path forward gets a lot simpler.
Start researching endocrinologist who aren’t affiliated with hospitals. There are also private practices now who are some how allowing people to get access to tons of different hormones, although you are going to pay a kings ransom for them.
Can usually tell by their trap development
Lol that's my tell !! Especially during the summer mid cycle traps look like there trying to go somewhere
Or cosmetic surgery…
Trt clinic probably your best bet brother.
Like one online? Brick/mortar?
Anything specific I should look for? They cost alot drom what I understand
Yes, online. Some are expensive but some charge $80-$100 a month.
Look for a big fucking Jacked Doctor. If he looks like a bitch he aint for you
Came here to say this lol
