Man! All this looks incredible. I’m definitely trying out the protein cake. I need more cake in my life for sure. Always killer with the meal preps. You set the bar pretty high for the rest of us. It’s great to see!
I appreciate that brotha, that means a lot! It's cool to have somewhere to share my meals, and get tricks/tips!
The cake isn't bad, for being super simple. I took all the ingredients, and blended it smoothly. Then poured into a dish and baked for about an hour, at 350F!
Definitely some things I'd change, and other ingredients I'd add in next time, though for the first time trying it... not too shabby lol.
Weird ass protein cake
Looks like the Japanese Cheesecake. Is it light and airy?
That's what it reminded me of too! It's pretty spongy, and honestly not the worse. I think I'd probably skip the peanut butter next time, and opt for some frozen blueberries. Also need a better protein powder, like vanilla or something.
Yeah, vanilla protein powder, almond extract, and maybe sprinkled with a few sliced almonds (that’s where my mind goes).
Oooooooh. Damn, yeah definitely would be a winner!!
I've been tempted to get some unflavored powder, and keep experimenting with snacks.
Lunch
Dkoon211That looks great, I see the ingredients, now what's the recipe. I need to make that. Or should I say politely request my wife to cook it lol.
It's honestly really good! Only thing I'd want to add is some sour cream and cheese, once reheated. I probably will atleast one of the days.
Protein pasta, cook it in boiling water with salt. Aim for al dente. (so they don't get soggy when reheated during the week)
I got 3lbs of ground turkey, 93% lean. Cooked it just like ground beef. Try and not break it up too small, so the chunks can absorb flavor.
Once ready, I did 1.5 cups of water and two packets of taco seasoning. Mixed and turned heat up to high. Added the beans and tomatoes, stir them in. Once it hits a boil, add the noodles!
Cover and simmer for 10-20 minutes.
Lots of easy ways to expand and improve on this as well, just depends on your taste!
Dkoon211I will post my protein bars i make later. I think they are about 15-20 g protein each and they all organic.
Please do!! I'm always down to try something new.
Breakfast
These look good too.
Never made my own pigs in a blanket, but I have used crab sticks wrapped in pillsbury dough. Crab sticks are very low fat and high protein.
I still like making these with the crab sticks!
Just pulled these out the oven!
Hell yeah! Those look awesome and I bet will taste amazing
I'm really tempted to try this with biscuit dough. Chop up the crab, and mix it in. These smell amazing, and taste awesome.
Crabby biscuits sound incredible!
Oh man they're good. I made one extra to try, and loved it.
Did you have a sauce to dip it in? For the crab sticks, I'm assuming imitation right? I bet that's really good.
Yes, imitation crab sticks. Also cheap which is a nice bonus.
I’ll season with Old Bay. If I want sauce I’ll make an aioli with Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Old Bay, and some hot sauce.
Hell yeah, I bet that sauce is amazing. I might have to make this my afternoon snack!!
100%, a aioli sauce like that would be super good with the pigs in a blanket too.
I do more yogurt so it’s a little healthier 3/4 yogurt to 1/4 mayonnaise. Then you can mix in any spices you want. Make a super easy and very tasty sauce.
