+ 14 Smaller cycles, bigger gains!
Lifter for over 10 years. Not sure of body fat percentage but I’m clearly veering more towards the leaner side. Diet is clean with the occasional (weekly) cheat day. Cardio daily. Vascularity is more pronounced as ever.
Reading a comment the other day posted by bossman @DeeMan about preferring lower dosages over higher ones influenced this post. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve applied that same logic and feel significantly better than the “usual” protocols available. Perspectives change, and for me and my goals, I’m satisfied. After all, a long healthy life should be end goal for us all.
This is from 250 test and 300 deca a week. (Week 6 of 14 planned weeks). Got some var laying around that’ll be utilized for the next run which I’m foreseeing will be insane in terms of more vascularity and fullness as long as diet and cardio remain consistent.

Been lifting since I was 12 and I’m 50 now. I started doing smaller cycles when I turned 40. I found that you don’t need much the older you get. The Op’s physique is stout as hell for that amount. You look solid brother!

Thanks man! I’ve experimented with higher doses before but only with test. Highest I’ve went with test is 500 per week. Haven’t cycled “big” in years, highest I’ll go with test now a days is 300 per week with maybe an extra compound in there but at a low dose as well. I’ve been pretty consistent with my training and diet so that too has helped me maintain.

Is the low dose trend based on your guys genetics and responding to the androgens? Take a plain jane dude such as myself, i started with large doses at first a couple years ago. I took two years off and trt protocol dropped too 200mg every two weeks.. Does that give your body enough time to downregulate and reset those receptors?
Try your trt halved at 1time a week pinning schedule if on cyp or enth. Its more stable.

Nothing recent but I do get blood work done at least 3 times a year minimum just to see where I’m at. Next round of work I’ll go head and post it up so you can see it in black and white. Last time on just 250 a week I was around 1300-1400 total I believe. Don’t quote me on that but I remember it being on the way upper end. I seem to respond really well to gear. Felt good, lifts went up weight and rep wise, minimal sides, no ai etc.
Just glad he posted this to finally put the dosage debate to rest lol.

On my break I decided to check my phone and I happen to see this...my brother I appreciate the shout out and on the real I'm humbled but also glad that someone at least was influenced by my thoughts on lower dosage cycles. Now alot of times I'm hesitant to mention because either folks don't believe or they think it's a knock on guys that use more gear. Look man to each their own, the more important things is safety and I mean that, no bs. Anyways thanks my man and you're the bossman for deciding this for your own health. Wish you the best brother.

Thank you my dude. Nothing beats good ol’ hard training along with a moderate diet and of course a littllle boost from what’s available. For sure the gear does help, but the dosages that I hear some people plan to run plus the stacks just blows my mind…
Guy in my gym who doesn’t plan to compete told me he planned on 800 test and 800 eq (15 weeks) for his first cycle along with a var kickstart. I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit before explaining to him why that might not be in his best interest lol. At the end of the day we can only offer advice and hope whomever considers it.

Great physique. I’m more of a low dose guy myself but look nothing like you or Deeman lol. I’d like to pick your brain a little bit in regards to running Deca higher. Another member scarecrow does this and is big and shredded but the times I’ve used Deca I did 1:1 and still was very bloated despite diet being clean. I’m not sure if genetics come into play but I didn’t like the look, I’m now looking into low dose NPP with a trt cycle but worried about libido unless I run proviron along side of it.
Thanks man! Like you mentioned I believe genetics do play part in what we’re all able to tolerate. I should mention I use aromasin once or twice a week while cycling. (In this specific case once a week 12.5.) I haven’t touched caber yet with 19 nor’s, hopefully won’t have to, but I’d like to think my lower dosages with those compounds has something to do with that. Along with steady cardio, tons of water, and diet.
And as far as keeping the deca slightly higher than the test, I’ve been taught that the more estrogen you have floating around the more likely it is to influence and increase the production of prolactin sides. So lower test=less possible conversion to estro which=less chances of progesterone issues when stacked with a low dose nandrolone. (Can anyone else chime in on this theory?)
This has been what’s worked for me and blood work has always checked out.
Were you using an ai of any sort while running? What were your doses? I like NPP’s profile but never been a fan of frequent injections…..
I know exactly what your talking about and I have the same questions too I recently ran bloods estrogen was right in normal range but my prolactin was 29 which is a little over the normal which is like 5-20 but I haven't used any deca or tren in over a year just test masteron n.some dbol sometimes
Well, this was in regards to Deca. I was running Arimidex 2x a week at 1 mg with Caber but I wasn’t necessarily on a cut. For now I’m sticking with a nutrient partitioning cycle using primo, GH and test low dose but thinking about throwing in some npp to help with recovery and joints. All low dose.

Your current cycle sounds solid. See about the NPP bro, worst case scenario it’s out of your system pretty quick if things get sticky but I doubt it’ll end up that way.
& I’ve been looking into GH lately but I’m gonna hold off a few years/do more research before going in.

Yeah man early 30s. I figure jump on the GH train for that extra boost, but it’s more so the therapeutic effects I’ve been hearing about that really interests me. I figure when I’m nearing my 40s will be the best time for those benefits. But we’ll see. Like you said no rush.
You’re mentioning knowledgeable members so you’re in the right direction. Plenty of good sources here for GH as well as good info. I’m an advocate for it although there are those who feel it’s unnecessary. You’ll make your best decision based on your needs.
