Advice please

ad

I'm 46 and have been self-prescribing trt (250 mg/wk, occasional blast with Deca or Eq)for a couple of years now. My last shot of Test E was 5/3, when my Dr. asked me to get bloodwork (going to test Prolactin and Testosterone levels) . I feel crashed AF right now. Do you think it has been long enough to get bloods done, I have until 6/14? What should I expect if I go this route? When I'm asked to do follow up blood work, will deca or eq effect my labs? Thanks in advance.

Depending on when you took Deca last, how much and how long, Deca can fuck with you for a while. You've been on this "TRT" for a couple years running cycle levels. You never had you levels checked? If you want to look somewhat normal. Like below cut that dose way down.

Deca has been about 9 months that was a low dose 200mg/wk. Not trying to be huge, deca makes my joints feel better. I check my levels when I add stuff.

The deca issue is the biggest thing I would worry about in your blood test. Deca sticks around for a long time and it doesn't take much of it to raise prolactin levels, especially if estro is on the higher end. Doc sees elevated prolactin and low test/FSH/LH bells and sirens should be going off in his head as a warning about pituitary gland issues or tumors. Could make things very complicated with additional tests and other stuff.

What were your levels on 250mg a week of "TRT"? 9 months you should be ok but never know when it comes to Deca. I've heard of people not recovering even after a couple PCT's.

TBH, it has been a while since I got bloods.

Alright, well get some independent bloods just to actually get an idea of where you stand. Instead of the guessing game.

I would expect your test and LH/FSH to be bottomed out. If he has you on a prescribed dose I would be pinning that or he will know something fishy is going on with test bottomed out.

Couldnt he do something like HMG to increase LH and FSH and not raise test significantly? or clomid

Trick is how much do you take. Big unknown. Will clearly show up as primary hypogonadism. HCG and HMG can also raise test and may likely take him above the normal cut off range for TRT. Same with clomid.

No prescription yet. Wanting to switch from UGL. Never had my levels tested by a Dr.

What are you worried about?

Chainzzz's picture

My levels not being low enough for a script. Also if I get prescribed what can I run with it not to set off any flags when I get follow up blood work

Ah your trying to get a script... one thing I can tell you is that deca will stay in your system a long time. Your blood test might show elevated hema and hemo so he will probably see something going on. Like Makwa said above, keep a small amount of Test going.. like 50-100mg so it looks more "normal".
