+ 6 A small review update

ad

Instead of rating by clicking the stars, you're now presented with a set of statements and asked to select one that is most true.

76's picture

The mention of free anything in the guidelines provided by the forum for rating a customers experience seems out of place, let them add it in their own words as a perk, not something to be used to judge a source by, no matter how insignificant it actually is.
As consumers we don't expect free things while shopping, why would it be an implication in this context here?

BFG's picture

You guys have an issue with adding a small thank-you-for-your-order gift while in the same breath demand I fix 4/5 ratings when customers review your free promos.

Review widget states: Select the most acturate statement.
Updated 5 star option for Customer Service now reads: Top-notch / Received a gift

Customers may vote 5 star if they think your service is top-notch OR if they receive a gift.

BFG's picture

Fixed wording for Customer Service and Delivery categories

  • Customer service
    UNESPONSIVE
    SLOW TO RESPOND / RUDE
    OK, COMMS COULD BE BETTER
    FAST, GOOD AND EFFICIENT
    TOP-NOTCH / RECEIVED A GIFT

  • Delivery and Packaging
    NOTHING ARRIVED / GOT SCAMMED
MISSING ITEMS / BROKEN OR UNUSABLE
    ARRIVED LATER THAN EXPECTED
    ARRIVED ON TIME
    ARRIVED SOONER THAN EXPECTED

In delivery and packaging, having arrived with freebies as a choice is going to mean sources that can afford to give away the most will have a higher ranking. That's buying a vote.

.

"I ordered a coffee maker on Amazon. I'm going to leave a bad review because they only sent me one."

How is that review helpful to buyers?

BFG's picture

you barely installed your cart yesterday and you think you know retail business now, comparing yourself to Amazon?
Wheres your consumer protection then? Who is your refund escrow service provider?

And don't compare a simple gesture like including an extra cialis, bac water or something trivial shit like that to whatever you're all doing to buy votes since you signed up to be a source.

eighty7's picture

I'm not comparing myself to Amazon. Getting free stuff doesn't make a product good and it's definitely not related to shipping and delivery.

I haven't done anything without running it by you or a mod first. I messaged you last time I decided to do something.

Greg's picture

That's 1/4th of the overall review and not weighted the same as the other sections. Are you saying that you'll go out of business as a source because you don't feel you can compete equally with those using strippers to hand deliver their product the same day?

"I received a coffee maker from Amazon. I'm going to leave a good review because they sent me two even though both were broken, and I had ordered a blender."

@BFG is there a way to split the ranking by: Best overall; Best service; Best product: Best shipping

eighty7's picture

No, I'm saying it's buying votes because it is. It may be buying a vote in just one category but it's still buying a vote. Whoever can afford to do this the most will get a higher rank.

1 Never came
2 Missing items
3 Arrived later than expected
4 Arrived on time
5 Arrived sooner than expected. (But some customers can't comprehend that they just live too far away to get something in 2 or 3 days)

Shipping and delivery should have nothing to do with a "freebie".

BFG's picture

I'll put up a poll and have people decide if they want a freebie

eighty7's picture

Why? You think someone is going to say they don't want free shit?

BFG's picture

You're right, freebie goes way better with Customer Service

Greg's picture

One-offs are going to happen, sometimes your shipment will appear in 2 days, others late for some reason...

The question becomes are you constantly late? Are you always coming up with excuses as to why it was late? Was your shipping always reliable until recently now everything is late... big red flags, and yes, shipping is important.

Freebees: product, swag, discount coupon for next order, a thank-you card, a pack of gum from Ukraine... anything that would delight your customer and make them feel like you went the extra mile.

eighty7's picture

Then make another category because that's not relevant to shipping and delivery.

Here's a question @BFG going through the review process now

SELECT THE MOST ACCURATE STATEMENT *
1 LAB TEST PROVEN BUNK / NO PRODUCT RECEIVED
2 BAD PRODUCT / BAD RESULTS
3 GOOD PRODUCT / WORKS AS EXPECTED
4 WORKS BETTER THAN EXPECTED
5 BETTER THAN ANYTHING I'VE TRIED

Let's be honest, 3-5 are all the same thing.
If it works as expected, it's working. If it's better or better than anything they've tried, it's either
a. In their head
b. they've only used bunk gear before
c. they're new

Not sure how the system works but assuming these are point based, that would give less points for gear that works as expected.

Overall though, I believe this is a good system. I can guarantee a lot of sources will start throwing in freebies with their orders now to get that extra vote point but it's fair.

p.s. i knew you loved me <3

BFG's picture

sources will start throwing in freebies

From what I seen so far, people select "ARRIVED SOONER AND WITH FREEBIES" without it actually arriving sooner and freebies.

76's picture

That is true...hmm

There is some persuasion occasionally to rate 5 out of 5 stars, even with the new question & answer format. I think that it’ll take a little bit of time for the sources & the buyers to get used to slightly lower average ratings - which is good for all of us, as it leaves room for truly exceptional experiences & the subtle nuances that accompany ordering gear online. I’ve been asked a couple times why I haven’t put up 5 out of 5 stars for a couple orders, but I try to be as accurate with my reviews as possible and I like the room this new system affords.

BFG's picture

I'm open to ideas on how to improve the categories.

I was thinking
3 = not bunk (works, got results, but can have issues like residue, shit sides, shit pip, pin-site issues etc)
4 = good product (works better than 3)
5 = so good youd pin ur mom

p.s. I gotta be careful displaying affection in pulic, i've recently been accused of running a huge US based steroid ratail ring.
<3

UncleYoked's picture

I'd say that's closer to more accurate.
In the quality of products box I would change or even split to two boxes, since this is informative and requires input that many people cannot articulate without guidance

Box A
What was your cycle outline (dosing per product, cycling length)

Box B
What effects did you notice

Something like that.
Overall I think this is already a much better review system then what was available before.

UncleYoked's picture

BTW, can EVERYONE use the system now? Low karma etc and are they counted?

BFG's picture

No, same rules as before. Min karma (general category) 5 to vote.

DeeMan's picture

It's like 3 is ok, 4 is better than ok and 5 is best but I can kind of see your point.

Makwa's picture

works better than expected or best ever tried...it is probably overdosed Lol

Makwa's picture

So how are the sources going to be ordered in the rankings?

BFG's picture

Answers have values attached to them which are represented as a vote.

Ironold's picture

I like that.

On the crap reviews with high scores - a lot of sources offer you vouchers in their store to leave positive reviews. Maybe it's that line of thinking - "Oh I got bunk gear this time but if I leave a decent review, collect my vouchers and try again it'll be alright?"

Bill1976's picture

Great!!! When does this go into effect?

In a promo × 1

It already is
