Sharp pain in injection site

ad

Pretty much as is says guys, I inject my quads and always have, never had any issues tell now, was doing and injection last week Friday just a ml of sus, and while injecting I got what felt like a cramp, aspirated and all that before hand so all was good, anyway didn't think much of it, had slight pip which don't really get much,
So did legs last night and omfg when did leg press as I came down it felt like someone was stabbing me in the leg and I mean real pain to the point I stopped and went home, now I'm wondering if I might have hit a nerve?

Any thoughts guys, ps I have fibromyalgia so am wondering if it is nerves if my meds could have covered it up a bit(the pain from pinning)

Anyone got any suggestions where else to pin as needto rotate as did right quad Monday and left still hurts, can't twist round enough to do glutes and missus won't do it, was thinking delts?

Use to be on nortriptyline and duloxatine, just duloxatine now

No none at all dude

I'm only concerned about a nerve as my fybro meds are pretty good at numbing pains to the point of not knowing they are there

Do you have links to the studies showing it is safer to inject IM without aspirating?
I can only find conflicting points on this.
I do personally aspirate even if the odds of hitting a nerve or blood vessel are extremely low. But I rather not aspirate if it is safer not to.

I have yet to see a doc or nurse aspirate when giving me a shot so I don’t worry about it either.

It's only happened this once dude so probably just bit bad luck

It's something I could look into, it was a wierd feeling when I injected and like I say the fybro mess I take potentially numb things for me lot, that's why trying to reduce them, suppose I'll just have to take it easy and see how it feels

If you hit a nerve you would have noticed it when first injecting. Muscle will twitch and you WILL feel it. I have had the needle nearly fly out of my hand when hitting a nerve. You may have injected close to a nerve and the bolus of oil sitting there may have pressed on the nerve while excercising. Just a thought anyway.

Could the oil sit there that long, for 4 days? I'm just curious that my fibromyalgia meds might cover it up, I'm on duloxatine for it, was on nortriptyline as well but came of it as it had hidden some pain from injuries that I didn't know I had, when I injected it went tight at the end of the needle, felt like a sharp cramp

Oil wouldn't sit there for that long. I guess I would be more concerned it it keeps happening.

Hopefully the first and last time it happens

Might just have hit a nerve. Don't know about fibromyalgia but if you inject your quads often enough you're bound to hit a nerve at least once.

Ya think I might have fd something up as Friday was when I injected and did legs last night
