+ 8 Covid Anti bodies 6 months in
Hey Guys,
Soo I gad Covid the first week of June & was lucky to get over it. Shortly after that I had my first positive for the antibodies a month later when I went in for my yearly physical! I’ve been trying to keep track of the antibodies and since I had the antibodies have been donating blood as much as I can. Now the interesting part is a lot of people are saying that most people only have the antibodies for like four months! I know there’s a lot of unknowns, but at six months I’m still testing positive for the antibodies. Don’t get me wrong I want the antibodies to stay in as long as they want. I definitely don’t wanna go through that shit again. Hoping the antibodies could give me a line of defense. Anybody else out here have the antibodies for six months or longer? Curious to know any of your guys had the same story since you guys give blood work slot too and it would come up.

RustyhookerAntibodies....like the type that last a lifetime as your protection. As in chikn pox etc.......
Not necessary. Different strains and mutations possibly similar to flu shot but time will tell.
RustyhookerThe origional test for covid showed that 100% of the people tested were positive. Which is impossible. The problem was the antibodies for all previous strains were related.

Your body comes into contact with hundreds of pathogens daily. We are a 'hand to mouth' group of living beings. Our body learns to fight those diseases and build our natural protections
In fact...being 'too clean' causes a huge host of issues such as germs that are resistsnt to antibiotics berr ing resistant. But bigger yet is killing too many germs in fact stalls our natural defenses from learning the new germs themselves, weakening our healthy systems. Our bodies wont build antibodies and when a true infection hits, we are then suffering because our body has no reaction

An interesting read on being too hygenic. Anyone with young kids can see these ideals in real time

A smart pediatrician will tell you let the baby put things (toys, pacifier, etc) in their mouth from off the floor. Thats what builds the baby's immune system.
Or a whole lot of people heard these words growing up. A lil dirt never hurt!
My entire family preached this.
Pounds23I heard that also right up untill I woke up in the hospital screaming bloody murder, within a day or two I was completely out of it in and out of consciousness I only remember but and pieces of it, I remember the nurse who took care of me she was the best she was the only one who could do my IVs and not jab me a 100 times, but short story I whinded up getting hand foot and mouth disease which was extremly fucking painful could eat or drink anything for weeks... Deff wasn't my parents fault either it was my young dumb stupid ass who didn't listen and thought eating mud pies was real and good.... Man I was an ignorant non listening lil bastard lol.... I remember getting a bunch of iv volume cause I was so freaked out and scared of needles, one sec I was whaling next second I was melting
My 7 month old daughter is just now starting to get better from that foot mouth crap. Her entire body even her face was covered in blisters everywhere.
Pounds23Yeah I had it inside my mouth super swollen all down my throat and into my stomach, then I also had it on on a CPL other areas but mine was really bad cause it was inside my mouth and throat which got all swollen and I couldn't eat or drink anything my lips got chapped I was all dyhidrated when I got to the hospital, and I remember the nurse having me twice and missing and I went nuts and started screaming crying and yelling. They had to hold me down nurses doctors and parents only one nurse was good enough, the rest of my time there I would only allow her to do shots or new iv line anything that had to do with a pin I would only let her do it... They had me all doped up and medicated so I remember going in and out partly waking up for like a week or longer that went on, had to use these special medicated toothbrushs tasted horrible. Thankfully I got better and pulled through cause the doctors were unsure cause of how bad it was or had got in my mouth but my throat was more the issue and concern.... It deff isn't fun to have.... Hope she's okay and is now healing up and getting better
She's good now. I appreciate that. I wouldn't wish that stuff on my worst enemy.
Pounds23Yeah it's good she's getting better man, it's a mother fer I can only admagin how uncomfortable it much of been for her expecially so young... Atleast she's good now
Kids are catching hand foot and mouth just doing nothing but getting dropped off at daycare. Cleanest environment and its passed on in daycares. That is something you probably couldnt have prevented if you tried.
Pounds23Yeah it really fucked me up good and the speed at it progressed was extremly fast my dad was constantly working doing hard labor construction building foundations, framing, and then he also at the end got the painting job which drains u and he was doing like soild 8-10 hr days with a small half HR break in like 85-100 degree heat in the sun so he was just super tired. I can't remember exactly what my mom was doing but I remember my dad coming home seeing me and checking me and flipped out, I was super dyhidrated my lips were completely chapped and my mouth and throat was all swollen it super sucked man it was painful as fuck I remember bits and pieces of it I remember having the nurses to have to brush my teeth and mouth with this special medicated tooth brush tasted like shit.... I know the doctors were pissed that I wasn't brought in sooner. U really couldn't see how bad it was unless I opened my mouth I lost a bunch of weight and I remember having to spend like an extra week there cause they wanted me to put all the weight back on on atleast some of it. I had lost a crazy amount went in chubby came out stick boy. So it's more regular or happens more frequently now? I could of got it at daycare but I'm pretty sure I rember where I first noticed it and it was the day after I had been playing in the rain in the dirt making mud pies or something kids do at that age lol either way it was a bad move and was painful as hell learned my lesson real quick
God made dirt, Dirt don't hurt!
Yes, yes
RustyhookerExactly! Well said
I hear you... I had a friend that used to take three showers a day, and put on anti-bacterial stuff on her hands 10 times a day. She ended up getting autoimmune disease. I guess her body needed something to fight so it’s fought her insides!!
Just what I was thinking.
Nice glad your donating they Need it in these times +
Molinin302You guys know how I am, you get a plus one BJ. Anyone that donates (and yeah there will always be opposition to the health benefits from some), but donating blood saves lives. The fact that you're healthy and carrying antibodies? Bro, I'm not a drinker but I'd buy you a snort of the 30yr old McClennen scotch. I may be out of line saying this, but damn. People want to give us guff for what we do, but there's no (healthy) group of persons that monitor ourselves like we do. And make donations like this. Thank you BJ.
You mean macallen scotch???
Molinin302Lol, yeah, that stuff.
I prefer vodka straight
