If you’ve been active here long at all, you’ve seen the many posts weekly that are often based on repetitious questions that can EASILY be found with minimal effort to research right here. Then of course don’t forget the many many posts we see from trolls that can be very trying on the nerves & especially in an atmosphere with such high testosterone levels. It does get monotonous to say the least! I do enjoy toying with the trolls at times & I always enjoy a good laugh, so don’t misunderstand stand me. I’d just like to take the opportunity to encourage others to not allow the monotony to cause you to miss the privilege to help someone. While I don’t think we should spoon feed, we should encourage others to do some research & also put them in the right direction. Don’t just ell someone they’re wrong, tell them why & point them in the right direction. Correction is great & is needed when someone is wrong and I believe it makes a difference, but correction with encouragement makes the bigger difference!! I am not here because I have nothing better to do. I stay very busy as I know others here do as well, but I’m here to help & make a difference while enjoying some time kicking around with the members & all the while learning as I go. Let’s do our best to put forth effort to help when the opportunity arises. It’s worth the efforts to help someone better themselves & make the right decisions.

When seeing this stuff for the first time it can be quite confusing especially with all the types of answers you see for the same question. Lot's of different answers but many of them are still correct cause we are all individuals and can have different responses to the same compounds. I think this is what confuses so many newbs when they use the search. He said this, he said that. There are some universal truths though and more safe and logical ways for a newb to determine and figure out there individual response to compounds. Sometimes it is just reassuring to ask a question and get a more recent and personal response to a question that they asked instead of just a past response that wasn't directed towards them.
I am not condoning spoonfeeding but those people are pretty easy spot when they are on a fishing expedition and pretty much deserve to be bitch slapped. Sometimes people just need the personal reassurance that they are going in the right direction though and really shouldn't be ridiculed for what seems like a basic question though. Let them know they are on the right track or point them in the right direction if they are at least making an attempt. Would be kind of boring here if no one really asked any questions. lol.

Spot on as usual Mak. And to be honest it does get a little dull around here when no one is asking questions. Good or bad ones. It creates debate and that is a good thing.
Great post and good reminder for everyone, the bs does get tiring sometimes, like shrunk nuts and junk dude, but there are folks out there with a legitimate need for help and willingness to learn, so makes it worth the effort.

Great post, I must admit Im not the most patient person sometimes when new members ask questions that have been sked a million times and they could easily find the answer using the search function but most of the time I try to help if I can. +

I help when I can. But only with stuff I have personal experience with. I'm not gonna parrot any advice just to be able to say I helped. And most of the time if I can help and I truly think they are genuine I take it to pm as some of the best advice I've gotten is through pm on here anyways. Great post JH +2

You have a good policy & I agree. Pm is also a great way to help & especially when advising someone more advanced so as to not put info in open forum that someone else less knowledgeable can take as advice. The good thing about open posts is the opportunity to have a reference for ourselves & others to see.

If you only knew the amount of help I've received via pm. I'm an open book brother. Just have to figure out what page I'm on and Half the time I don't know what page I'm on anyways.
You give quite alot back via PM as well, I know I've been the recipient of your knowledge on a few occasions, and it's appreciated too.
The key is to figure out if they are genuine. Most of the time when someone takes the time to pm they are. There are a lot of great people here and that includes you so keep it up
