+ 1 Egg whites vs whole eggs
ad
I’ve always read mixed info on this debate. At one point I’d seen an article mention that consuming the yolks made the protein in egg whites more bio available. I’ve eaten whole eggs the last several years.
I came across this article in t nation, and thought I’d share.

In summary, whole eggs produce the same levels of leucine as egg whites, just with a slower release, but they also produce a spike in mTor, and bloods have shown a 45% increase in protein synthesis post work out, compared to egg whites.
I thought it was pretty cool, and it helps me justify keeping my eggs yellow.

People are different. Not everyone who smokes gets lung cancer but many do.
And many people get lung cancer without smoking at all.
+2 that’s my whole point. It really just depends on the persons genetics. Unfortunately I’m one of the guys who had to avoid that stuff but I didn’t at your age. Never say never.
Completely agree brother! Just like hair lose with certain compounds.... I was losing my hair at 29 before I ran gear lol
X2 the 80s were not a good decade to be bald. Lol
I’ll definiteky keep an eye on it. A lot is changing. I’m nursing an elbow right now, taking more vitamins and health aids than I ever thought I would, and I felt a bit weird getting a haircut yesterday and seeing all this gray stuff rain down in the black thing they covered me up with.
Things seem to change fast. I definitely believe the only constant is that there are no constants.
I feel the same but my 50s have brought a lot of dietary changes. I’m not going to lie I miss bacon and eggs.
It seems like it was only 4 years ago I was still invincible. Now I wake up and do bed yoga, stretching my legs to my chest trying to loosen up my lumbar.
I’ve abused my body. All my life, I worked around these older guys that would tell me to slow down, and that I’d regret it one day. At the time, I thought they were just getting soft. I wish I’d have listened some, because I’m starting to feel it.
For now, as long as I keep moving it’s ok, but when I slow down, things start to lock up on me. When I look at how much has changed in a few short years, I start to be concerned with the long term. My wife will joke and ask what color I want my walker to be.
I hear that..I eat like12 a day and take fish oil and my cholesterol is fine
I thought the 12 I eat was alot. Well played
