Adderall for fat loss

ad

The Dr prescribed me Adderall and I was wondering of it's efficacy for fat loss during a cycle

Hi all..

Just my experience with Adderall to share with you.

I am 28 soon, and have been on adderall since March or April of 2017. I had only tried it like literally two times in college (2011ish) and it was for recreation while drinking and using pot.

Now as a non drinker and non drug user and a professional, I spoke with my doctor about adderall because I have always been high strung and easily got a script.

At first, wow, amazing focus, weight loss was drastic. Lost 20-25 lbs in 30-35 ish days. Felt wonderful, work performance was through the roof. Only negative was noy sleeping.

Fast forward to the last 5 months. I don’t sleep well and its very hard to get motivated without first taking a pill. I am always hungry now, maybe from sleep deprivation. I crave simple carbs and caffiene all the time just to feel like I’m not gonna fall asleep.

Days when I don’t take any like on a weekend, I feel like total shit and I will admit that I never take more than prescribed either. I get headaches when I try to have a drug holiday weekend and let my brain kinda clean its receptors, but iy sucks.

I would not recommend this drug for weight loss because like ALL drugs used for weight loss its only temporary thats why you took a pill instead of changing your damn life to begin with.

If anyone has a prescription and actual ADHD and has any tips for how to manage a sleep schedule and keep blood pressure down while on adderall, please reach out to me either on this thread or on pm. I’m a big guy 6’ 280 and on TRT 200mg test c every ten days and I have been trying to keep my BP down as I am concerned the stimulants and mu size are going to kill me in a few years if I don’t make a change.

I've been on it since I was 16 I have severe ADHD and it doesn't speed me out like some people it does the opposite it calms me down when I'm off meds I don't eat and fly around a mile a minute can't stay still can't pay attention. As for fat loss stick to diet maybe some eca but all in all diet is the only way. Drugs should be used when we hit our bodies natural limits and to push it a little further.

Its medical meth with a prescription. In college it was the big thing. I hated that shit, made me have zero motivation and lose my socialness. Couldnt eat, couldnt fuck, couldnt sleep. Fuck that garbage.

Best way to make you look skinny fat. I know a couple of people at the gym who are on it and that is what it turned them into. Made them stop eating was part of the problem. Start to lose just as much muscle as fat. Ruins your metabolism. One kid was using (abusing) it to stay up late to study. Went off it and his metabolism was so ruined he went from a skinny fat 200 lbs (6'5") to a fat 240 lbs.

It’s works equally well for muscle loss.

Your doctor prescribed it for a brain injury,........... your injured brain tells you don't take as prescribed but stock it up for weight loss.

Your injured brain was on your good side of the brain wasn't it??

To be honest... I'm happy to be alive. Smile

Then throw away the adderall and save yourself some grief.

I didn't see him say he stocked it up I think he was just asking that last remark was pretty mean bro younshouldnt comment on something someone couldn't or can't control it would be like making fun of some people for a clef lip or stretch marks or cancer people don't ask for stuff like that to happen to them

Lol
Right after the brain injury I had severe memory loss and trouble getting going in the morning. The Dr's had no answers. One tried Adderall and it helped out with the problems but I don't like how it makes me feel. After taking it for a while I stopped because I didn't need it as often and I know the negatives out weigh the positives. It's never my intention of taking it strictly for fat loss, I was getting ready to throw it away and was just curious if there was any redeeming reasons at all to keep it.

You answered your own question mate , if the negatives outweigh the positives don't bother using it for fat loss or anything else .

True. The only reason i was even asking for feedback is because I don't like the way clen makes me feel either but I've taken that for fat loss and it was effective. I threw the addy away this morning. Not worth it

This is one of the only times i tell someone to ignore the doctor. Adderall is horribly addictive and bad for the body. Doctors andtheir prescriptions smh.

Yes you will lose weight, at first. Once you become used to it its like any other drug. You gain it all right back. I was on it for 9 months until they switched my meds. If you really have AD, you will normalize, if you dont you will become a junkie. I was weaned off of it and it was rough. I lost weight, lost motivation, but I could concentrate so well I could stare at the wall for hours. Once I stopped taking all of that shit I got my motivation back and went to the gym again and learned to deal with my AD without drugs, just like dealing with my weight. If I want to lose weight I stop eating like a stoned teenager, If I want to bulk clean I eat all the lean meats I can amd I may still gain some fat, but its better then shortening my life through a supposed quick fix. If you cant diet without drugs its time to re think your whole life.

Stuff can cause heart failure. Also addictive, like others have said. I would stay away

I really hate Dr’s

Adderall is good and bad in most instances. Good if you actually need aderall. but for fat loss probably not so much, its probably due to appetite suppress. That shit makes me feel like a zombie when i come off hate that shit lol

I don't like the way it makes me feel either. He gave it to to me for a brain injury and while it helps with memory and some cognitive function I stopped taking it. If there was some real positive fat loss associated with it then there would be more reasons to take it and I'd consider taking it again.

FUCK OFF AD! This crap makes u addicted and you loose brain function , slow but constant!

You’ve gotta watch these Drs . All there concerned with is there outdated bmi index. My Dr actually told me an egfr is the absolute Test not the 24 hour urine test. Lol the e stands for estimated.

You don’t need that shit bro. Your not obese. Just adjust your calories and watch your sodium intake. I dropped my bp 10 points by dropping my sodium to 1500 mgs daily. My face looks totally different.

I can’t comment on brain injuries but I can say takeing a drug to suppress your appetite is a bad idea. Appetite is very important for the dieting bodybuilder. Matter of fact I increase my protein when dieting.
