Cant stop air from flooding in my vials
ad
Anyone with more experience than me with this help a guy out. My gear came sealed with the toppers in like normal but with this brand no matter what i do when i go to pull from the vial a flood of outside air is introduced from somewhere. I was hopeful it was just the first bottle but unfortunately all of them so far are doing the same thing. My question is whats the dangers if any when this keeps happening. Its not just a lil bit i can see all of the air entering the bottle and bubbling up in the gear. Ive never had this happen like this with other brands. Thanks for any help

Want to say thanks for all the helo this was my first time posting on here. Tbh i was afraid i was gunna get completely roasted. I had followed all proper protocol with introducing the same amount of air that i was going to be pulling. I think greg hit the nail on the head as to why it was happening as much as it was i bought this batch international and i sit below sea level where im at. I think that much difference was just creating on hell of a vacuum. So ibwas worried i had a shitty seal and turns out it was just the opposite it was almost to good lol.. Just want to say thank you guys for all the help and your time
No comment necessary Chicken , Juicebox and Greg covered everything I was gonna say. I would listen to them all. I definitely have blown too much air in a vial before squirting my oil everywhere, and it is possible for the crimp to be loose. QA doesn’t catch everything.
I have a cousin who was having the same problem and now he’s gay. Be careful with that air shit. Poison bro. Poison.
Lmao tbh where i live it very well could be brotha
RustyhookerClick eds avatar.... read his forums. Fun times!
I just did...thanj you for that sir lmfao
Dang I need to be more careful.
Hahahahaha
aahhah lol
I seriously thought the title was " I can't stop air from floating in my vials".
Chicken has it right .
Are you putting air in there be for you draw. May eliminate the vacuum.
Could be a cheap rubber stopper and not contracting around the green pin enough to seel it. Try using a smaller gauge pin to draw out mate
You need air in the vial to pull otherwise you'll have a hell of a time. HOWEVER if you are pulling and you see bubbles rushing into the vial while pulling, then it isn't sealed correctly. Id contact the supplier. Could be a production problem they arent aware of.
Gotta balance the pressure. If you're going to pin 1ml of it, then you're going to want to inject 1ml of air into the vial before you start to withdraw the substance
AnonAir has to go into the vial, otherwise you're going to get to a point to where the vacuum is so strong you won't be able to draw from the vial. It's kinda like if you stuck an uncorked wine bottle up your ass, the vacuum won't allow it to be pulled back out. Then you have to go to the ER and face that embarrassment. But I don't judge.
So do you recommend keeping the bottle corked?
Anonlol, absolutely
Hahaha, might want to add no homo!
Or hell maybe it’s full homo? Lol
AnonI like the Daniel Tosh way of life, my job causes me to be so professional that I thrive on moments in life where I can be strictly unprofessional and leaving people wondering if I'm serious. My day job definitely does not fit my personality.
Sounds like you had experience. I'm not judging though.
AnonI like to party.
If i ever get enough karma to up vote im coming back for this one lmao...got ya!! Thanks
RustyhookerIf the top spins freely, its a trash crimp. Makwa has ya correct. You sound inexperienced. Whats your cycle, stats, priors?
I knew that this one was coming. The crimp is sound. Im on my sixth cycle im 34 six foot 205 and 12.8 percent bf ..If i sound inexperienced its bc comparied to the amount that some of the people here have under their belt im sure i am . I assure you im not dumb and im following all proper protocol. Now how much information you bury yourself in it sometimes dosent help sove the realworld problems that can come up thats what lead me here
RustyhookerOk.... it just common knowledge that 1cc out is 1cc air pushed in. And then theres the goofs pulling oil with 18ga pins....lol. but thats another story...
Thanks man i deff get what your saying and im not sure how my brain didnt comprehend that the same air i push in the bottle is the same air that vacuum could be pulling in . just tripped me out a lil bc ive never seen it like that . but all of my other cycles came from local guys. This one was international and i do live around new Orleans way below sea level. So that may be whh im seeing it more this time. Thanks for all the help
RustyhookerAnytime sir! Good luck!
Ever notice how a bag of chips are "puffier" at higher elevations than lower ones?
Inject 1 ml of air into the vial before pulling 1 ml of liquid out. If the vial is completely sealed you'll actually be creating a (stronger) vacuum for every ml you pull out.
In your case, you might add 3cc of air to your syringe and stick it through the top of the stopper and let the vacuum "suck" the air out of your syringe to equalize the pressure.
If the gear was capped at a higher elevation than you, and the seal is good, by default, it's in a vacuum.
basskiller89Last time I flew I got excited like there were more chips in my bag
I can relate
Thank you greg that makes total sense. I didnt think it was a huge issue just couldn't figure out why it was doing it to this degree. It this was capped in Europe and im sitting below sea level in New Orleans might be whats going on. I tried exhausting all other options of figuring it out before i took the chance of getting roasted on here!! Thank your time and help!
Air is introduced into the vial when you inject the same amount of air as you intend to draw from the vial. Not sure what the issue is since there is going to be air introduced into the vial regardless.
Wasn't sure if there was a issue hence why i said not sure if this would cause a problem if any. Just in the 20 or so bottles ive used never had it happen quite like this thats why i took the chance and asked on here for advice from people who have more exp than i do. Im guessing by you saying your not sure what the issue is your kinda saying no worries dude dont trip its all good? Lol
Unless the oil is leaking out onto your hands when you tip it then you are fine otherwise. Inject an extra ml or two of air into the vial and that should stop it if you are worried about the bubbles. then you may have the problem of the oil leaking out of the vial if you do that.
Sweet thanks man ...its not causing a issue i had just never seen it like that before. And for some reason it didnt even click that the same air im pulling back to push in the bottle is the same air causing the bubbles lol...thanks agin
Well this is my 2 cents
1. Your vial is not sealed and could be not sterile
2. Stick needle in it to vent it for a few seconds
3. Take out needle, flip it upside down and stuck syringe with needle and pull back or down. Is there suction when pulling back????
If air is still bubbling your vials are improperly sealed and that's on the supplier.
Thanks man!! i will try that tomorrow and see what happens
What gauge needle are you drawing with ?
I tried my 22 on the first bottle like i have in the past but on the second bottle i tried a 25 to see if that helped and it still did the same thing
If you're putting in a ml of air for every ml of oil you pull out shouldn't have that problem, unless there is just a massive vacuum inside the vial, more than should be.
Where are the bubbles coming from, near the center of the stopper where you stick it?
Ive used the air in the syringe just like normal. It looks like they are coming up from around the stopper area the up the side of the bottle
Somebody mentioned before the other day - when in doubt, throw it out.
I tossed over half a vial of high-end prop the other day because it leaked from the stopper and oil was running down my hand, and I never pinned it with anything but a tiny 25ga. Not sure what the problem was, but better safe than sorry - tossed and popped open a new one, problem solved.
Thanks man!! ..i will remeber that in the future!
so .. not from where you have your drawing needle in it then... take a good look at the cap and stopper the cap sides should have a nice tight curl around the lip of the vial
Everything looks on the norm
