+ 1 Subcutaneous vs Intramuscular Testosterone injection. Just a trend?
ad
I came across this video of a DR. boasting all the benefits of injecting testosterone sub q opposed to the standard muscular injection.
Like most of you I have always sworn by the proven Intramuscular injection when it comes to test and was taught that injecting subcutaneously was not only less effective but just a bad idea in general.
Check out the video and let me know your thoughts and or experience with this.

I still do all my inject IM. The only way to be sure would be with blood work and compare your IM numbers with SubQ.
JayD718✌
have done water based test suspension sub Q. Burned and stung for a while but I felt like 50 mg was comparable 100 mg IM maybe psychological though.
Just my experience, but for trt dosing sub-q is much easier and more convenient as opposed to i.m. This is especially true for people who are not used to IM such as my father. Another benefit is reduced scar tissue in muscle tissue which is awesome especially for guys who cycle. My Dr recommends sub q for trt however, anything over .4ml in one spot on the belly, sides, quads, etc can become very painful and swollen. The reason is because adipose tissue has less blood flow vs muscle. Consequently, the medication is absorbed slower showing a more stable blood plasma level with longer estered products such as testosterone enanthate, cypionate, decanoate, etc. With either method you will still get the same benefits youd normally get from aas. The big reason why IM is preferred is due to injection volume. Theres no pain free or easy way to shoot over 1 cc daily for an 8-10 weeks cycle sub q without looking and feeling like a literal pin cushion.
Btw, i do not recommend ever using high dosed gear even in minimal amounts sub q due to high solvents and very painful injections. Standard dosed compounds are fine and generally don't have as much pip. For example, if you're on test e @ 200mgs per week the simplest way to inject would be 2 shots at .4ml (assuming its dosed @ 250mg/ml) per injection. I use a slin pin and put .2ml on either side of my belly. Generally there isnt any pain or swelling issues post injection although you will have redness at the injection site for a couple hours. Ive noticed that the (#1 source's) test e 300 is the smoothest oil ever for sub-q. Ive used MCT, grape seed, and peach they have all been smooth however, the injection volume used is .3ml or less. Just a heads up though... DON'T rub the injection site later or after to try dispersing the oil. It does not work that way! Doing this only causes more irritation from solvents and hormone when falling out of suspension.
Big red welts and nodules can and will form if you place too much oil in your sub q inj. You can literally do ANY oil based hormone sub q with almost identical results as IM, but i wouldn't inject anymore than 1-2 ccs a week sub q as the oil takes time to be absorbed by the body. In fact ive shot tren ace (ouch!), test e, sust, supertest 450 (big mistake!!), and a few other things im forgetting that way. The worst was tren ace and supertest. Tren ace because i was injecting 1ml in one area every day instead of splitting up volume which made painful = tumors lol as for the supertest, well that shit hurts from the various esters and solvents. Hope it works out bro!
Edit: dammit i replied to a 3 yr old thread.... oh well heres some info for a knowledge bump!
All I've found is it bloody hurts and causes lumps...
I have tried sub-q oil injections twice and they were about 6 months apart. First time was. 5ml, second time .3ml, both in the belly. Both times resulted in nasty, large, red swollen welts. Neither were infected, but I ended up draining both after about 2 weeks using a 23g needle and 5 ml syringes. Both had about 4 ml of thick, pinkish fuck shit juice in them. I monitored both as though they were potentially infected (because as far as I was concerned they might have been) drawing a circle around the outside with a sharpee to monitor growth, but they both stopped at the size of a half dollar. Those mother fuckers hurt so bad that I couldn't use a lifting belt while they were there. I used a 29g slin pin and followed my standard sub-q GH/peptide protocol.
Not saying it will happen to you, just sharing my experience. I was really hoping that it would work for me and I could save IM for cycles to prevent scar tissue build up (TRT liferer) but it's just not for me.
I know this thread is old but I don't understand when injecting SUBQ I use an insulin syringe 29G 1ml. You don't even feel it go in.
I run 1cc Test 250 cyp, with .5cc Tren A on Mondays and I run Mast E .5 and Tren E .5 on Fridays. This gives me the right amount to be lean and mean solid muscle no water wait crap. Never had 1 issue Sub Q but I don't run stuff daily and that might be most peoples issue, however after 18 years of IM in my shoulders it's all scar tissue now that's why I went sub q
You inject 1.5 ml in 1 shot mondays and another 1 ml on fridays sub q? Where on earth do you shove that much at a time without getting huge lumps?
Found this post. Interested to find out how things are going with the sub q oil injections. May be switching to it.
First of all you inject slowly, I put it right on the side between oblique muscle and belly button, it's skin and a little fat, even if it makes a small bump you can't see it and you don't feel it. It's way better than trying to press through my scar tissue on my shoulders, I've never been a fan of injecting in my glutes, if you get a bas dose or anything goes wrong you don't sit for a week.sub q is good for small doses, not a daily thing. I'll never do it any other way.
Yo fella
How's this sub q jabs going then? Were are u jabbing it? Belly fat? Quad fat?
Red welts etc? Interesting I'mma read up some more
I have been alternating injections into my quads since I don't have much stomach fat and kind cringe at the thought of injecting there. My first 2 injections resulted in a decent sized lump that lasted a few days but that was a result of me forcing over 1ml into a single injection and now that im only injecting .5ml per pin the resulting lump is very small and gone by the next day. I have had no welts, bruising or other adverse reactions yet and IMO it has been no more painful then Intramuscular injections and if anything it doesn't even remain sore as long as I.M. injections. So far the only down side I see is the limited amount of gear you can inject per pin.
How the heck do you get oil through an insulin syringe? What gauge?
Super easy, push it slow takes maybe 20 seconds to inject I mean how much faster do you need to get it in you? 1cc Insulin syringe 29G
I have used a 29g slin pin for oil injections in the past. Its all about patience. Shit takes forever to draw and inject, but it can be done if you are willing to wait.
Heating definitely helps but even at room temperate .5ml only takes about 45 seconds to inject if pushing with a moderate amount of pressure. The trick that has helped me most though is back loading the insulin syringe, so I use a 22g syringe to draw whatever oil I'm going to use, remove the plunger from the back of the insulin need and then fill it through the back with the 22g.
I draw into a 23 gauge and use 23 gauge to pin. I have used 25 gauge and warmed oil in barrel in warm water but it didn't seem to be worth the trouble.
Push hard heat it up and be patient lol. I used a 29 gauge
I'm going to +1 you for bringing up a good point, also I'd like to see you get to 50 bro.
Haha thanks! What happens when I get to 50? Do I get more gains?
Lol when you get to 50 you get to vote and give other members karma points and you're also eligible for more promos. It has some perks.
UPDATE
So after more research and more importantly considering everyone's input and personal experience I decided to continue my daily injections utilizing sub q. So to anyone that it's interested I have been running Tren Ace and test prop injecting sub q daily .5ml per injection at 2 injections per day using an insulin needle for the past week. Aside from the occasional lump and the extended injection time I've experienced no negative sides to this yet and the effects of the Tren and test have not changed. The bottom line is if I am running gear that only requires injecting large amounts twice a week then I will Ofcourse be using Intramuscular injections but for daily injections at 1.5ml or less sub q is the way to go IMO.
I use insulin for diabetes and it subQ you most certainly would NOT want to do more then .5mL (.5cc)
I guess you could do a 1mL but ouch that would be a pain and probably swell up a bit
Just imo
Gator
RustyhookerDifference is trt guy using only half cc sub q. Folks running a test/eq/mast, as example, need to know 10 pin spots im to handle the oil. Absorption etc.
Test 600...2+cc
Eq 600....2+cc
Etc
Couldn't location of injection play a factor in the amount you can inject sub q?

here it is, noids post.
Thanks! You saved me some time looking for it.
+1 to you brother.
i know a few vets on this site inject their tren sub q, it diminishes most sides such as night sweats, insomnia, and vivid weird dreams, i guess it comes down to personal preference, i will be sticking with intramuscular though, tried and tested.
I'm running Tren Ace for the first time and because of the daily injections I am considering trying this but would definitely like to here some more first hand experience on it first.
Roid Noid asked me to test Tren Sub Q with him when he was experimenting. Less negative sides for sure but big ass red welts on my abs at the injection site and pain as well. I'd go with the IM having tried the Sub Q.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience with me bro. +1
I've done this since pinning ED IM was getting old fast. I switched to slin pinning my quads and glutes which kept everything good for me. Burns a bit but didn't really have any bad sides
+1 for the info!
This is what I've been looking to hear since this is my first run with Tren Ace and 1 week in and I'm already getting tired of the everyday IM injections. How much can you pin sub q at a time comfortably and without issue?
Most things I've read say to limit it to .5cc. I personally shot .5 a day with no issues. Just switched between two sites on each quad and two sites on each glute. Be prepared to sit there for a while drawing (unless you backload) and pinning. Heating it up with a hairdryer really helped me out there
i know thats how roid noid does it, maybe he might chime in if he sees it, maybe if you type it in blue magnify glass, i think he has a post on it.
good luck mate.
Thanks brother.
