+ 1 Save some money on your bloodwork using your HSA or FSA
ad
So i just checked out on one of the good ol' bloodwork purchasing sites, and I realized something on the confirmation page that I never noticed before.
Total Amount Qualified for Health Savings Accounts (HSA):
and it listed the full amount.
I have an HSA account that I can throw money onto and they take a little money out of my check each week pre-tax (like health insurance or 401k).
Now that I know this, I'm throwing a couple hundred extra on there next time we can change our allocations for our FSA/HSA.
Just a heads up to anyone that has an HSA account here in the states and hadn't realized this before either.
To clarify, this is only for people in the US with an HSA or FSA account through work.

Been using the hell out of my HSA, maxed out the $6350 allowed for the year already.
Anything we can do to pay less tax is a good thing, the wealthy use every angle they can, we should too
Fuckin right man. I'm def throwing a few hundred more at my FSA/HSA this year . I loved that you maxed it lol
Use it for wifes BHRT, and lately a periodontist.
Things that Anthem wont touch
Good tip, I do this also.
I always go to my doc and say I need full bloods cause I have problems with my skin or libido and a consultant need my test , e2 and so on too.
Then I pay nothing for bloodworks and get results a few days after as .pdf by mail.
You can try this guys, maybe it works by you too!
Yeah thats how i do it my doc lets me pull labs whenever i ask on or off cycle
Agreed. Unfortunately my doc only let's me do this when i'm off cycle cuz he doesn't want crazy numbers on my record.
Alright mate, in a few EU countries it's different, a lot docs give you a referral to a lab and they send you bloods without any problems and docs don't want an insight. So numbers are "not important". (No prob if they're high.
Yeah, but that is covered by insurance no? We use the private lab sites so that our insurance doesn't ever see it and can't fuck us.
I'm from EU mate we have another social system here. It's mostly easy and free to get bloods directly from the doc/lab.
That's what's up. You should tell that dude from Spain that was bitching about it being impossible to get bloods done there (unless Spain is different)
Either he is too lazy to go to the doc or he has no social insurance (what is impossible) lol
Lol. I wish I could remember what forum he was in saying that.
God damned socialists!
haha
exactly. but I think stairmaster is in the UK, so it's different for them. I just edited my post to clarify this is for state-side guys only.
