+ 1 Best supplements for lower liver enzymes?

ad

I've done quite a bit of research on this, and haven't seen much besides a lot of bro-science about liver supplements. Well, before even starting on TRT I knew that I had mildly elevated liver enzymes and because of this my primary care doctor and urologist both have refused to prescribe me testosterone even though injecting testosterone bypasses first pass liver metabolism which is when a lot of liver damage happens. Right now even after being on T for a few months my liver enzymes (AST and ALT both) are very mildly elevated but was told by my endocrinologist that if my enzymes ended up raising more that he would have to stop my testosterone treatment and look into ways of lowering my enzymes before putting me back on it. I have no intentions of stopping testosterone treatment since it's given me my life back, and I want to find the best supplements that I can that will help with lowering liver enzymes back down to acceptable levels.

First and foremost, I've cut out 98% of all of the red meat in my diet...that means nothing that comes from a cow or a pig. My protein intake consists of chicken, fish, and turkey usually which are leaner meats and still give me a lot of protein to work with while exercising. Second, I've read about all of the major liver supplements such as Silymarin (milk thistle), N-Acetyl-Cysteine, something called Essentiale Forte, and TUDCA. I know that UDCA is a prescription medication here in the good ol' United States of Trump, but that supposedly TUDCA and Essentiale Forte - which I think might be pretty much the same thing or close to it - are supplements that provide your liver with gentle bile enzymes that it can break down that help to restore a lot of its function from stuff like cirrhosis and other liver issues. Right now I only take NAC and Silymarin because those are the only two that I know are helpful in protecting the liver from damage but don't necessarily help with your liver if it already is damaged and you have elevated enzymes.

Are Essentiale Forte and/or TUDCA products that I could take along with my NAC, Silymarin, and Omega-3 supplements and help my liver start the process of healing and reduce my AST and ALT numbers? I can see that both TUDCA and Essentiale Forte can be purchased from within the US (I see these supplements on eBay and Amazon both frequently) but wanted some confirmation that this stuff really works like I've read and heard it's supposed to. My weekly T dosage is quite mild compared to a lot of people (only 125mg weekly of cypionate) but I also pin 250 IUs of hCG EOD as well. I've also stopped taking a few of my normal daily medications that can be harsh on the liver (under my doctor's guidance of course) to make sure that my enzymes don't continue to trend upward along with the dieting, but if TUDCA and/or Essentiale Forte work as well as I hope then I've seen that both can be purchased in bulk for pretty cheap since I'd want to purchase at least six months worth of it at a time since I tend to buy in bulk. I keep all of my other gear in large quantities so I only have to make a 2-3 orders a year max, so why not supplements too eh?

If anybody could provide me with their take on this, and if you have any sources of good info, I would really appreciate the input as I'm sure I'm not the only person that has been in this boat before. I've searched a lot of forums (including this one), but as mentioned before I'm trying to keep the bro-science to a minimum and would rather see some factual proof that TUDCA and/or Essentiale Forte work like I hope they do. Thank you for any input, and I look forward to hearing anything you guys have to say about this. Cheers guys!

After getting back my most recent test results, I can conclusively say that TUDCA really is the wonderdrug that people claim it to be. AST and ALT are both back down to 23 and 31, and my Alkaline Phosphatase levels are down to 104! It looks like NAC and Silymarin are really for the protection of the liver before any damage takes place, and TUDCA helps create new bloodflows inside the liver to help circulate the bile around the GI tract in people with slight liver damage. I feel much better with my test results than I ever have, and a lot of it is you guys - I really appreciate it. As long as I can keep my numbers up to around 700 by the time I go to see my endo and keep my liver enzymes in check then there's no reason I can't cruise on 150-200mg per week until the end of time. It feels like I've finally received my officla 'roids diploma.

Next I want to look into some steroids that are supposed to help cut fat as well or make you look more defined as I might add some HCTZ to the mix since I have a bit of bloat going on right now (and my doctor wants me on it anyway for hypertension). I'm now in the process of grinding at the gym to get my weight very, very low, so that I have a solid foundation to sculpt something from that will be a sight for sore eyes.

We have used Synthergine the last several years. The proof is in the lab work. Great product!

Now THAT is one of the threads that I've been looking for...I searched all of the normal places but haven't came across any articles like that one until just now. I appreciate the link bro.

I am really confused as to why your doc would stop trt because of elevated enzymes. TRT doesn't do that. Just how elevated are these values? What else are you taking, OTC supps, meds?

My primary care doc and urologist refused because my lab values were out of range, but the endocrinologist was smart enough to know that slightly elevated liver enzymes don't really matter when you inject testosterone or use it as a cream since it bypasses first-pass liver metabolism. The endo has said that he doesn't want to see my liver enzymes continue to get higher though because then he'll stop the testosterone until I can get my AST and ALT values back down.

Factual proof may differ between individuals. I've ran TUDCA on Test C/Dbol/Var 12 wk cycle and liver enzymes were never elevated as evidenced per BW. The last week of dbol the dose was ramped to 100mg/day, too.

I had slightly elevated liver enzymes after running low dose test and provi for 9 months, however, imo, the elevation was far from being dangerous, or alarming, and an OTC supp called Liver Aid from Liver Rite was initiated. Since, then all liver enzymes on BW have not been elevated and in normal range.
