+ 2 The Great World Of Eroids
I began thinking about this after a comment made to me by MedDx but I didn't want to highjack the thread.
I have been thinking about how great it is to be able to contribute to a community that has taught me so much. When I came here years back I knew little to nothing other than the basics. I have spent endless hours on here absorbing all the information I could to learn as much as possible. There is still so much to learn but I have come so far from where I was. I would have made so many mistakes along the way without the community and all the great members that truly want to help, their heart is in the right place even if the truth seems harsh at the time.
There have been a few times lately that I saw members just truly unwilling to take any decent advice or constructive criticism which made me frustrated and annoyed. I had to remind myself, as the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink. Unfortunately that applies at times and there not much you can do but sit back after a point. There are two common groups of people in the world, the ones who will listen and take advice and the ones that wont listen to reason. Its sad that some people get stuck in the latter group but oh well.
As far as I'm concerned you can learn something from just about anyone. It doesn't matter if there is a young kid that weighs 130 lbs, if he knows something that is based on intelligence and evidence, I am willing to give it the time of day. I have heard terrible advice from some huge ass dudes that based in on nothing valid.
I guess I'm just trying to promote open minds and acceptance of advice when it comes to trying to stay healthy. Its easy to get carried away and overly focused on growth and neglect our health. Its unfortunate some people will learn this lesson the hard way.

From my time here I've learned that not everyone wants to be helped, and therefor can't be helped. Too many of the guys come on here with horse-shit stats, lying about their priors, age, etc.
If they show any reluctance to actually take the advice being given, then I resort to the Darwin's teachings - just do it. Let them do whatever the fuck they want, and do it all at once. Some people out there need to run headfirst into a brick wall in order to understand that it hurts.
Sometimes they figure it out, sometimes they don't, but I don't lose sleep over it anymore. There's too much shit to worry about in my personal life, and too many members on here actually willing to learn and heed advice to give these Paleolithic apes the instagram fame they crave.
I just commented in another thread to a fella who didn't seem that he wanted to listen, so I'm being redundant here, but I'll repeat this comment anyways for the benefit of future readers.
The community at eroids can be summed up in this short sentence: "WE ARE COMMITTED TO GETTING RESULTS SAFELY."
If you're new to our community and you're reading this thread, just be warned: We'll give you hell, we'll flame you on occasion, and our humor can be daunting to a newbie. However, WE want YOU to succeed, safely and intelligently.
We're eroids. Join us or leave us, the choice is yours.
If you leave, no hard feelings, we'll still be here picking our noses and flicking boogers at the haters.
If you join us, and you're here with an open mind and kick ass work ethic, you'll reach your goals safely and triumphantly, no doubt.

Thank you brother. I came late to this party, but I'm here as long as I can contribute.
Well said brother........... you know my beliefs well.
Viking, you are a legend, good sir! It's good to see you poke your head in every now and again, no doubt, and of course, good work building your castle on the "mainland" for your golden years! Bad ass.
Brother, you and your band of merry men on this crazy forum simply beat the mantra into my head: "Pick a goal, be smart (with hygiene, food, rest, working out, appropriate AAS for the goal, dose, and duration) and then YOU DO THE FUCKING WORK, NOT THE CHEMICALS!"
For me, my goal isn't athletic or aesthetic based, so I've never been seduced by imaginary thinking that "more steroids is better." Nope. MORE INTELLIGENT WORK is always better, of course, but not more chemicals.
Lift fucking hard and smart, eat right, and get ample rest accordingly. Simple! Not "easy," but simple, no doubt.
I was, and still am, open to hear that message, and it sunk in pretty damn quickly in my own life. I have greatly benefitted, and I hope to share that same positive benefit with other men who are willing to listen, then work hard too.
As much as possible, I'll add my own voice to help spread the eroids message of "Achieve your goals by being smart, safe, and working your balls off." It's the only way to live, as far as I'm concerned. Cheers Viking! -ZeusM
Well said brother!
What you just outlined there is the "secret" that most people think is being hidden from them...... i cannot give you the exact figure of how many times in real life and in PMs on eroids i have been asked outright for THE SECRETS, but i bet by now it must total a few million occasions.
There is a saying that BAD MEDICINE is the best medicine!....... aint that right regarding bodybuilding, meaning the BAD MEDICINE is and always has been the gut busting nutritional practises and near death training events.... the times i have spewed up or been crashed on the floor shaking in a cold sweat through over exertion are countless... but you know what brother those are the times i TRULY knew i had my game on point.
Brother, you're a BEAST! I've lifted many, many times in my life to the point of nausea, but never have I puked from lifting. On some deadlift days, I can literally FEEL my nervous system shutting down. It's very unnerving, literally as well as metaphorically. But you know what? I'm damn near 40 years old and I can out lift many of my friends in their late 20s who openly admit to using tren, "cuz bro, you get swol!"
If a busted up Greek Mexican (100% American) like me can out lift a 25 year old on gear, then obviously they're doing something wrong and I'm doing something right.
It's all about the work, the refuel, and the rest.
For whatever reason, most men find the first step in that three step formula to be the most difficult. Weird, cuz the gym always has come "easy" for me. (You get what I mean. "Easy," means, lift smart, push hard, repeat. Get your lifters high, get showered and get the hell on with the day.)
It's the diet & sleep part that I have a tough time with, but then again, I have two small kiddos under the age of 6, so I find sleep is hit and miss, and I still don't have the discipline to leave their leftovers for the dog, etc.
"Looking better" is almost ALWAYS about dropping body fat. My discipline for calorie cutting sucks, so that's what I get to work on over the next year leading up to my 40th. Cheers!
This generation wants everything handed to them and don't want to or to lazy to research for themselves.... None has common sense either..smh....
Like grit said below, just drown the dam thing then.....lol.....
You might not be able to make the horse drink water, but sometimes you're justified in drowning it.

Good write up Shiva and I totally agree an open mind is the gateway to wisdom! The more we support one another the stronger we become as a community
Shiva I try to learn something new every day. We as a community, and that's you too, push forward and pay it forward for the next person(s) that creates an account here willing to learn. The more truthful and sincere we are, the more dedication, determination, and diligence we get back from our group!! That's why I always say, stay strong, stay solid, stay focused!! It's great individuals like yourself, as well as the others that do their wonderful part on Eroids to keep it real!!
