For those who've ran AAS at a high bodyfaf.

ad

I dont condone or encourage the use of AAS with a high bodyfat but i am curious what side effects or results that you or somebody you know had cycling with high bf. Im expecting a lot of high bp and bloating from what ive read.

My bf was higher than desirable when I started ... I put on lots of muscle and size, but also added some fat and got BAD acne on my back .
Now that I'm leaner, and have learned to control Estro better all is well , nice steady gains , good PCT's, no more serious acne .
Should I have been leaner from the jump ? Yes, but live and learn and alls well that ends well .

To be honest a lot of guys cycle with high body fat. Strongman, powerlifters, football players etc etc. A lot of guys are so harsh about not cycling above 13 percent body fat but there plenty of sports been lower than that in body fat isn't productive to what there trying to achieve. Now I will say been higher body fat and not been a gym rat and just lazy is not a good recipe for steroids. There not magic pills and nothing should substitute hard work and dedication. Strongman not worrying about adding a little water weight there goals are simply to be big and strong as Hell. I think u need to give us more details of your friends before we can give an honest answer

Just to be clear. I'm highly against AAS when above 15% bf, im very aware of the issues that come along with it. But i have two very stubborn and ignorant friends that lay in the 19-21% of bf percentages and they wanted "proof and experience in the matter". Im trying to be as informative as i can so they dont cause problems for themselves long and short term. Btw thank you all for your input. I'm sure it will nudge them out of it.

How old are your friends and are they actual gym rats or no?

Nimfit's picture

One is 30 the other 32. Both are very huge strength training advocates and trained more for strength than aesthetics or bodybuilding. But have had a change of heart recently so I told them that if they wanted to use AAS they better cut down the bf, which naturally is attainable it simply requires more time and a bit more effort. Yet they wanted a second voice on my advice.

If they have solid training and really are as strong as you say I wouldn't be uncomfortable with them running a test only cycle but they are still plenty young and should lean up with just a little effort. I started out with a higher than recommended BF too and didn't have hardly any sides with just test.

The one cycle where I started at 15%+ bodyfat was the very first time I developed gyno. I fixed it, and no longer have issues, but will never start a cycle again unless I know I'm sub-15%.

the relation between bf bp and aas is well documented and easy to research on your own with the search tool at the top of the page...if you r asking because you plan on doing this then I suggest you take the advice givin here and DO NOT run aas! That's like playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun! Cmon bro use your head! ....

I am highly against AAS if ur BF % is more than 13-15%. You can easily bring down BF% with Proper nutrition and well planned cardio programme.
Estro issues, Gyno, BP, Cholestrol levels and many more.

GRIMEY's picture

You'll have increased estrogen problems, good chance of BP problems. If your BF is high already your diet is likely off, while on ASS your appetite will increase which could compound this problem. What are your
goals you have in mind for running aas at a high bodyfat?

X2
At around 10% body fat I really don't have a need for An ai unless dbol is involved. 12-13%, and I convert a lot more.
2-3% body fat makes my estrogen go from around 45 to 80 on roughly 650 mg test a week. I imagine that would compound greatly at say 20% body fat.

Why are you using is the first question?

iFit's picture

Im expecting

My bet is because he's going to do it anyway. It's sort of like saying "I know I shouldn't do this but..."

Nimfit's picture

I'm sorry, i think I made it seem as if I'm going to run it by saying "I'm expecting". I meant the answers im expecting are high bp and so on. Sorry for the confusion.

You can tell by the post that he's just looking for cosigners not for legitimate advice....if even a half ass attempt at research was done you would have your answer ( it's dangerous and a waste of money.)
