+ 1 Couth, Uncouth, and Vulgar
One of the unique things about eroids has been the calabar of the people who populate its forums. Years ago new members would talk about date rape and treating women like sacks of meat. One poster had bragged about tossing a girl from the car after he had his way with her. Another bragged about having sex with a girl who was so drunk she passed out at the toilet. He claimed to have broken the toilet lid with her head because he "banged her so hard."
Unlike other boards where they would have gotten macho approval from other like minded Neanderthals, eroid members flamed and humiliated them into extinction.
True, parts of eroids can seem like a locker room and we can be "playfully uncouth" at times but we must remember we have a coed locker room.
So let's try and keep our integrity. Let's not alienate any of our members here. Let's stay out of the realm of "Vulgar"
If you wouldn't say something to, or about, your wife or girlfriend (husband/boyfriend) to their face. You probably shouldn't post it here.
If you want to be explicit, crass, vulgar, "lunkish"; create a group for it. Don't post it in the open forum.
We are a great group of members but we can at times get swept up in the moment and cross the line -including us mods. So let's watch each others back.
In the past I've deleted or edited out offensive content. From this point forward I'll be taking karma as well.
I hope you all can get behind me on this and police the forums as you do so well with rule violations.

But wow, in my short time here I never would've imagined some members would've talked like that. Most of the regulars are very respectful and speak almost brotherly to each other. Of course there is the usual disagreement, but things most always work out.
And in the case of somebody who does cross the line (opticx talking about Darth Pales wife) they get banned, and/or shitted on by the community. It's part of the reason I've really grown to love Eroids. There's this atmosphere of brotherhood.

StevebIt is hard to make rules based on what might offend someone. I think as long as you are not threatening someone or talking about something illegal it should be okay. It is the internet, you could tell me to fuck my mother and I would not care.

It is, but it is not hard to keep in mind we have members of both sexes, life choices, and religious beliefs. What maybe ok to say in one instance may be totally inappropriate in another. Hence my request to try and police yourselves.
And I think the majority of us want a civil, respectful, "adult" forum. If you want to persist on acting the childish contrarian, I for one wouldn't mind seeing you go.
True, the quote was posted. At one time this board had several "gangsta" wannabes. The facts might have been fabricated by the poster but it does show you a mindset of some punk individuals that did not survive the evolution of eroids.

StevebI don't know what was said. I think it's better that if there are going to be rules that they should be straight forward and clear. And not based on what someone's opinion of offensive is.
It is very hard to determine what may offend someone most times and the Mods have a pretty long leash. I do agree that at times it needs to be tightened up and trust that they will make the right decisions.
