+ 1 4th injection on my first cycle of test e

ad

Today i was injecting my left glutes with a 25g 1.5 inch. I had aspirated and everything was good after i was done a little blood backed up into the syringe what does that mean? I should also mention i tried injecting earlier on the same glute but pulled out after seeing a bubble before i aspirated ( i got new needle and wiped with alcohol again). i also didnt warmup the test e this time to see if i actually needed to in the future.

The CDC no longer recommends aspiration for IM injections. They now say not to aspirate.

I personally use either 25 or 27g to pin, depending on where I am doing it.

Very true - and as long as the person is not shaking when they aspirate, I see nothing wrong with it. ESPECIALLY with Tren.

I'm a if it aint broke don't fix it type of guy. I've been aspirating since the said to aspirate in the beginning. No harm in it. To each their own tho. Science changes along with what doctors recommend Like the weather changes lol. At one point or another things that were harmful were told to everyone that it wasn't and vice versa.

I use 1.5 needles for my glutes and delts. It allows me to not plunge all the way in the event of needle breakage. Its never happened, but if it were to break I want a little left out so I have the chance to pull it out. Just personal reassurance.

As stated below little bit of blood is ok, small air bubble is ok too. Glute is a large target, so there is small risk of hitting something thats going to seriously hurt you.....still use caution of course, and aim carefully but it is safest spot to inject.

Heat not necessary, but with 25g and thick oil it can help. Use air dryer on filled syringe just before pinning. I use 22g so Ive never heated, but I can see where 25g may require it with anything other than MCT oil.

Bro...holy fuck. You use 22's to pin? Scar tissue man...scar tissue.

edit: just kidding I was thinking of 20's in my head.

Biggest I'll use is a 23 though.

I only pin twice a week. When I started this game 23g was the smallest anyone went. 25g wasnt even in the conversation. Times have changed...for the better.

I remember those times, when using something slimmer than a 21 was considered a bonus! 18g needles too, pinning flutes or used in plumbing, multifunctional.

Doubles as a hunting harpoon.

live and let learn, I got to use whats at my disposal for now. Even though im a noob to this i dont have a phobia of needles

All of that below is sound.

For future reference, a little air isn't going to hurt either. EVEN IF you somehow cannulated a vein, it takes something like 10-15mls of air to cause an occlusion in the body.

Good luck on the cycle.

Means you blew through a blood vessel or vein on the way in. Nothing serious I've had gushers when I pulled the syringe out.

Looks like a murder scene sometimes. Pull it out and it shoots a few feet across the floor. Messy cleanup.

tonytulo's picture

I know it. That's why I put tile in the new house. Carpet would be no bueno.

Agreed but gets messy in the grout too

I have the same shit happen all the time. I aspirate and see nothing then when i pull it out theres a little bit of blood. No big deal. And you dont need to warm it up. If you insist because of thick oil use dry heat, hair dryer or a heating pad. No running it under water you risk contamination that way.

I had the same problems in my glutes when I first started. I changed to quads and pecs and never saw blood in the syringe again. Twisting around to do your glutes isn't very easy either.
you should see bubbles if you are in the muscle. Blood in the syringe means you have caught a blood vessel on the way through or you are in a blood vessel. I would inject in another muscle if I were you. If you use 23g needles you shouldnt need to warm it up.

my first inject was my quad with a 25g 1.5 needle. i know people insisted on using a 1inch but i wanted to use BD needle to inject and i was hoping not to put it all the way in. i withdraw with a 23 terumo needle. First injection i forgot to aspirate but i did it slow and put the needle deep. After that i went to the glutes because i didnt want to risk hitting a nerve ending with a 1.5. I noticed the difference without being warmed up but it didnt really bother me at the moment. I had to inject on the left glute i moved the positioning thou and couldnt do the right glute...
