+ 1 Resting Heart Rate Always Above 92?

ad

Hello friends and colleges,

I've started to occasionally check my Heart Rate now since i check my Blood Pressure Numerous time per day. I've noticed that during normal office hours (using Android Heart Rate Aps) that my resting/sitting heart rate is usually always above 92 regardless of how long i've been sitting down and just typing away for hours. Currently it's at 104 and the only thing i usually do if get up every 30 minutes and walk around for about 3 minutes just to keep my muscles warm and blood flowing. Blood pressure is sticking below 130 now as i only just incorporated Hawthorne berry and bet root juice so i'm sure i'll have to wait for at least a week for that to start kicking in. Currently on my 3rd week of Test-E only cycle @500mg per week split dosage. I've started my A.i's Monday for E.O.D. Is this heart beat rate at or above 92 safe for a resting beat? Anything i should do to keep it down? Thanks for all input and guidance.

Age: 25
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 179
BF: 13-15

Also note that i feel no discomfort nor can i feel any pressure or heavy heart rate whilst resting/sitting.

Sounds like you need some cardio bro. You don't need to start running marathons to begin, just start with walking at a steady pace for a half hour and work up from there. Remember that you want your resting heart rate as low as possible because that means that your heart isn't working very hard to maintain your body and vitals while you are resting. Just to give you an idea, an elite athlete's resting heart rate may be as low as 50 bpm. Mine is usually 68bpm but when I stay consistent with my cardio, it will drop in the low 60's.
Also keep in mind that sodium intake plays a big role in your heart rate. You might want to count your intake for a week or so to see where you strand with that too.

I don't like giving advice on heart issues because I'm not a medical professional and it could be a number of things. Speak to a doctor and have an ecg done.

I notice below you said you're not a fan of cardio so that could be your issue right there. A healthy man needs a minimum of 45 minutes of cardio per day unless your doctor advises otherwise. Your bf isn't off the scale so there should be no reason you can't do that and see if it makes a difference. If you decide to up your cardio go easy at first, and get a proper HR monitor that straps around your chest and feeds the data onto a watch on your wrist. That way you can monitor your HR while exercising and make sure you stay in the safe zone.

Gunna get one asap, thanks brother.

Possibly white coat syndrome. Right when u wake up check pulse in neck for 15 seconds multiple by 4. My heart rate jumps and bp climbs every time I take a pressure I get nervous. If your going over 130 regularly that's an issue regular hr is 60-100 so your in range. Your probably ok man 230 is the bad shit going to happen point. Get ekg don't check for abnormal rhythms. But I've seen way worse,on the bus

Not quiet tachycardia, blood pressure decent, but if that's your resting heart rate you have a issue going on, likely pulmonary hypertension that is secondary to the issue that is causing it. See a pulmonologist

Just did a look up on it, sounds serious..I'm really hoping not.

First, this is my opinion; I don't work in the medical profession.

I don't like it bro and I'm not being the prophet of doom. Is it safe? Well, you're not into tachycardia at 92 but at your age, 25, either you are really out of shape aerobically or there is some kind of issue.

I would spend a month or two really working on cardio and see if you can't bring it down. If you can't bring it down then I would see your doc about it.

How is your water intake?

GoHardOrGoHome's picture

Water is at minimum a gallon a day, i usually make it to about a gallon and a half. Aerobically speaking i'd say i'm a bit out of shape on that side. Never been the biggest fan of cardio. Just today i started at 30 minutes swimming this morning and tonight i'll be doing 30 minutes of cardio post workout. I'm going to indefinitely be doing cardio twice a day every day. What is your take on daily low dose aspirin?

Dickkhead's picture

Aspirin ed at 25? I personally don't have any experience with it with respect to your resting heart rate and I'm not going to weigh in where I don't know. Keep reading the thread as it grows and see what folk say. You're drinking enough water IMO. I would work up to 45 min of cardio post workout. I know it is boring bro, but see how you do with your pulse.

Heading to the gym now, will do 45 mins post workout. Thanks brother.

I hear you on this brother. I had an interesting incident recently when I went to donate blood. every time I've had my blood pressure taken, it was always stage pre-hypertension, hovering around 140/90 but sometimes going over...

So the nurse begins taking my blood pressure and after she finishes she gives me a reading of 120/82 which she considers in range. I'm stumped, and ask her to retake it, and 5 minutes later it reads 120/82 again. I tell her this must be incorrect, and ask her to use the machine this time, and I get a reading back of 154/98... She is dumbfounded, and goes to get her supervisor to get a second opinion.

So this time he uses the machine, gets 152/98. He then takes it manually, and guess what? 120/82.... He disappears off and comes back with a much larger cuff, runs the Machine again, and it reads 120/82. I'm amazed, that this entire time my doctors have been diagnosing me with borderine HBP And considered it normal, and all because they trusted a machine more than themselves.

If you're getting your blood pressure taken, make sure your sleeve is the appropriate size! Something so silly can completely mess your reading up, and worse, lead to a misdiagnosis and possibly put you on medication you don't need!

Wow your resting gets pretty low off cycle.
That's a pretty great set of numbers

How much caffeine are you ingesting during the day?
92 is a little high. Have you tried increasing your cardio.

I take no caffeine at all. Honestly i might have done cardio maybe 3 times in the nearly 4 weeks of cycle.

Better get checked out by your Doctor. Steroids and a bad heart can be lethal.

I have similar effects at times.
Push water, check your BP, take an aspirin....

Being in really really great shape lowers your Heartbeats...

If. Your resting is. Above 100 it's in the danger zone.
Remember your on gear. Your heart is a. Muscle.... Muscles....

I've given everything but aspirin a try. I'll stop by the store and get some. What dosage is recommended when cycling?

gambit's picture

I believe aspirin doesnt help bp or hbpm. it does something like makes vessels "more slippery" to prevent heart attack.

Check estro.if i can too.

I dont like cardio either. try adding some supersets sessions in with low rest on top of some cardio
