So you wanna be a Rap superstar live large?!

ad

F*** it lets kick this thing of right. This is a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside...... lol Ace that's a little shot from my 9 fired at you my friend.

Thought I'd switch it up a little, I know most you meatheads (yeah I said it Blum 3 with a smile) love nothing more than slapping on your leather chaps, sitting down to an episode of sons of anarchy, and afterwards singing the chorus to skynard and miming the rest, or listening to something by those metalic fellows who also enjoy a nice leather outfit from time to time.

However, this is for the old school/new school Original pirate material HIP HOP aka the greatest movement certainly in the music industry for the longest time. Just to be clear (imo) you don't have to rep KRS ONE, Big daddy Kane or the damn S.H.G, from way back in the day as good as they were to know your shit but if it's Good rap, it's good f****** Rap!

If your still paying attention your probably thinking a little background to Monk wouldn't go a miss, which corner he rep, which set he claim. Well, none lol. Most of you have seen the movie Bravehart, round those big hills is where I grew up and at that age I was pumping my tape deck to either something like Coolio, run dmc or Beatnuts lol as you can imagine even in a relatively modem climate at the time the 'Record Shop' didnt have a great selection. Mostly secomd hand or had to order shit in, untill Eminem dropped and suddenly everyone had their Middle finger up and the shelves were full lol and the store workers would even sell the parental advisory CDs (big deal at the time) to me and my friends as young kids which I still genuinely love that fact to this day lol. Primary shool teacher confiscates 'hi my name is' lol I'll never forget the look on their faces and the sheer outcry at The simple fact he said FUCK.

I've waffleed on enough now, down to the meat and potatoes. So what's topic of convo? Top ten Greatest Mc's? best album? Biggie or Pac? etc etc nah nah.

Ive always loved Rappers (legit) go at each other with come back diss records not fake ass shit. If anyone's intrested I wanna hear some of your favourite and greatest diss tracks.

For me it might be an obvious choice to most but Nas was my shit growing up and when "ether" dropped he murdered J. He also went hella hard with "got yourself a g.." And To be fair J's responses over the years were always s*** hot qualty lyrically but for me, Nas killed him.

Benzino v Em was some funny s*** to lol.

I know, definitely mature beyond his years. I think if he were still around rap and hip hop would be completely different, shit he probably would have been the first black president. I've watched the vibe interview many times. He makes very good points about government.

Pale's picture

I don't know. He had some really good stuff but he also had a lot of shit. He was his own worst enemy and was going to self destruct sooner than later regardless.

PIN_CUSHION's picture

Never heard that one before. Good track. What do you think of the album Eminem produced? Do you think he altered his vocals like people claim?

bigJOHNstud's picture

He's the one that put the satin on your panties

PIN_CUSHION's picture

Yea, that's the one. Usually listen to it at least once during my workouts

What about Pete rock and c.l. Smooth?

I really like Pete rocks soul survivor

http://youtu.be/yUP3GSFEv18

bigJOHNstud's picture

A lot of people just missed out on pun period. He was one of the baddest lyricists ever.

bigJOHNstud's picture

Yeah I liked his mix tapes way better

bigJOHNstud's picture

So I read through a bit and I didn't notice anyone mention prince Paul. Prince among theives was great and started beef between everlast and eminem

http://youtu.be/c9qwYQ3BDE4

Gravediggaz, handsome boy modeling school... Prince Paul has had his hand in more hip hop than most people realize. He might of even produced for the early de la soul stuff but I can't remember for sure

bigJOHNstud's picture

I think he was souly a producer early on so I would guess not but I really have no idea

Edit: oh shit, I just googled him and he came out of stetsosonic. No mention of 3 bass- that gets the gas face

bigJOHNstud's picture

Do you think Pete nice and Greg nice are brothers?

bigJOHNstud's picture

You know part of me thinks nas' first appearance was in a 3rd bass video

bigJOHNstud's picture

Here is something but I swear he was in a 3rd bass video

http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0621576/bio

bigJOHNstud's picture

That's the one bro. Nas is in that video. I don't think he says a word

bigJOHNstud's picture

De la soul's three feet high and rising is probably one one the most ground breaking albums ever in hip hop. Imo it really ushered in the age of true hip hop as opposed to rap.

On a side note slick rick and dougy fresh were the shit(back when Rick had both eyes). Who could forget about rakim ?

NoWeakAces's picture

Did someone hack this big hillbilly's account?

NoWeakAces's picture

No no, it's my penis that's been hacked. I was worried about bigJ's account. But thanks for your concern.

bigJOHNstud's picture

what about guru and premier?

Squeeze the juice out, of all the suckas with power
and poor some back out, so as to water the flowers
This world is ours, that's why the demons are
Leary
It's our inheritance, this is my Robin Hood theory

Nice, I liked jazzmataz too

Today's rap music has really withdrew from the original Hip Hop movement in regards to the lyrics. I feel as if all relevant rap music is all lies. The lyricists are no less never popular to this new generation. Minus a few of course; Jay Z, Nas, Eminem, ect...
But these new artists to me are corny. Just rhyming words over a popular beat and not telling a justified story of truth. People love music they can relate to, and I can no longer relate to the new rap music I hear on the radio. Some tunes may be catchy and witty, but there's a lot of garbage that some how seemed to make it to the top of the charts. Baffling. Lmao.

I totaly agree, whatever happened to story lines like the ones Easy E put out:
"There was the biggest titties that a nigga ever saw
I said: "Damn", then the air got thinner
Only thought in my mind, was goin' up in her
The suspense was makin' me sick
She took her panties down and the bitch had a dick!
I said: "Damn", dropped the gat from my hand
(What I thought was a bitch, was nothing but a man)
Put the gat to his legs, all the way up his skirt
because this is one faggot that I had to hurt"

That is shit we can all relate to. Who hasn't robbed a bank and noticed a captive large breasted women that need to be considered a door prize to such a harrowing job?
Who hasn't tried to take advantage of the situation only to find that the woman in question had a Penis?
Shit bros. We have all been there.
