question for the vets

ad

Whatsup animals..I got a question that someone may have experienced or is educated on the subject. As of recently the last few weeks I've been having these episodes where I feel extremely hungry and have a pit in my stomach like in starving. I get real dizzy and break into a cold sweat and feel overheated along with being very shaky. I eat 6 meals a day and average 4300 calories a day made up of complex carbs, protein, fruits and veges along with fish oil, milk thistle and daily vitamin. Has anybody experienced what I explained? I googled my symptoms and said something about possible hypoglycemia. But I was checked last year for sugar and results came back fine. I'm only on 500 test e a week, but can aas effect you this way? Its happening every few days for the last few weeks. Any feedback would be great, I will be making a doctor appt this week to get myself checked. Thanks for your time fellas.

I have had the same issue from tren e. every time I pinned within a day or so I would have the same uncontrollable sweats and shakes, and it was pretty scary. I believe it to be a hypoglycemic reaction, like you said, from the gear. After trial and error, I found that having a glass of sugary fruit juice in the morning and another in the afternoon all but eliminated this. I'm not sure why it happened, but it never happened from tren a, and I have had blood work to check it out which came back normal.

Thanks for everyone's input, I really appreciate. I always go to you guys before the doctor just to see if anybody has had same experiences. But it does seem like a hypoglycemia issue but I will be making Dr appt for this week to get it checked out.

Keep in mind that blood work is only going to tell you what your current glucose levels look like and if there are some diabetic factors at play. Diabetes deals with insulin production or sensitivity, not dietary intake and physical expenditures.

What I'm trying to say is that, if this is a hypoglycemic response and unless you are diabetic, the doctor will not be able to give you many answers outside of what has already been given to you here. I'll bet money that this is exactly what happens:

You see him. He orders bloodwork. Calls you back in for follow up to tell you everything is normal (maybe vitamin levels are off, bc they almost always are and he wants you to know he is doing his job). He suggests that it is caused by dietary and physical exertion factors and recommends that you get a glucose monitor to test levels when you have symptoms.

Now, I'm def not saying that you shouldn't see your doctor. There are a number of things that could cause these symptoms, and some may be more serious than what we suspect. But if I'm right, then a home glucose monitor and some dietary tweaks will fix the problem.

Glucose monitor is a good thing to have anyway. It gives you some insight into how your body responds to the foods you eat and the level of physical activities you partake.

That's some good info bro thank you.think I'll go grab one today to have on hand.may go to doctor regardless but I'm going to change meal times n grab a glucose reader.+1 for the help doss

I had a similar thing happen to me. I was feeling fine one minute then felt weak n shaky, then I started sweating like never before, my t-shirt was literally soaked through, like I'd had a bucket of water thrown at me. I ate a kitkat and was fine a few minutes later. I've had blood sugar levels drop before were I've just felt a bit shaky but that 1 time was a bit freaky tbh.
If it's become regular I'd go see a doctor, good luck cos I know it's a bitch to have happen to you.

hey brother doss offered up some good info and I'll back allot of it up. I've experienced the same my last cycle. and yes it was going hypo. no insulin involved, I train my ass off Branch Warren style with tight form. I'd run the usual post workout shake followed by a clean protein and carb meal 30min to an hr later. then about 2 hrs after it would hit. eat some pb crackers with a Gatorade then all good till I cooked super. it did scare me to schedule an appointment with my gp. once my wife said she thought I was going to hit the deck walking to the kitchen in a instant pool of cold sweat. Dr. just ran a complete blood panel, thankfully everything checked out. he offered that do to the intensity I put into my training and job that my body was depleting and using up all the blood sugars and I possibly could be developing a slight insulin sensitivity issue, prior to my blood work coming back he did offer a few medical explanations that I was happy they where ruled out, so please get to a Dr and have a blood work-up done.

That's funny you put branch warren and tight form in the same sentence lol. That dude looks like he could tear his shoulder up at any moment. Bjt I knkw what you mean about his intensity.

Man my first test cycle I had the Exact same thing. Bloods checked out perfect but when I started feeling this queazy sensation coming on I had to immediately stuff my face with massive amounts of whatever was cooked in Tupperware tubs or whatever I could get my hands on lol and my gawd it felt like heaven as I eat it too which seemed weird lol idk.

Happened at least once or twice a week on that run but since that cycle I've never experienced anything like it again :/

this seems like low blood glucose levels AKA going hypoglycemic... are you using insulin?

this could be a developing a form of diabetes, or there may be an underlying condition in your liver or kidneys causing this assuming what you are experiencing is low blood glucose... go to your doctor because something like this shouldn't be taken lightly, whatever it is.

i would also stop the drugs you are on until you get this sorted out

O I will be making an appt this week..episodes freak me out when they happen..don't expect it when ur young but young people get it all the time, I got to remember I'm not invincible.

The thing about blood glucose levels is that they are hardly ever constant. Since glucose is essentially the body's desired fuel source for energy metabolism, levels will fluctuate depending on the demand at the given time. So, forget about those numbers you got when you checked a year ago.

There's entirely too many factors that could cause these symptoms. One thing that takes place when cycling gear is an increased rate of glycogen synthesis and tissue repair. Because both of these processes expend energy, you can probably begin to imagine the impact they have on glucose levels, especially when they are accelerated. That's essentially what is taking place during recovery periods.

Now adding your day to day activities and you see a great demand imposed on energy metabolism, which in turn affects glucose levels.

Simply eating 6 times a day, although a great idea, may not be enough. Timing those meals and snacks can make the world of difference in terms of keeping up with energy demands.

An example would be to eat your fresh fruits during or closer to your most active parts of the day. Fruits are packed with vitamins and simple sugars that will release into the blood much quicker than complex carbs. That's perfect for more active tasks.

Similarly, save your complex carbs for portions of the day when you are not physically active. The complex carbs will provide a more gradual release into the blood stream to help keep energy levels more stable.

These are things that every athlete or trainee should be doing. If you're already doing these things, then other things to look at are fluid intake as well as the types of gear and supps you're taking. High anavar doses make me hypoglycemic bad. GHRP 6 affects appetite and blood sugar bc it increases motility of intestinal contents. Boldenone (EQ or cyp) def makes me feel like i can never eat enough. Tren paired with mast gives me some lightheadedness if fluid intake isn't kept high. List goes on and one.

So, I gave you some generalized nutritional advice, as well as some personal experiences of mine with gear and similar sides. Tell me what all you're taking at the moment.

That's great info man I appreciate it.I'm on 500 mg test e a week and just began a 50 mg var a day for the 6 weeks i have left.but I had the episodes before I started the var. I'm still gonna get checked by the doc but I think maybe I will have to change my times that I eat , I'm sure it will help, maybe even add a few more meals in instead of moving the eating times.. I am a roofer by trade so I do have strenuous activity all day so I know I burn calories very easily and recently been thinking of starting vikings shakes again for the extra calories and I drink close to two gallons water ed since I'm in the sun all day...but I will get blood work this week to see what's going on.

Its sounds like a panic attack or anxiety to me,but i am no doctor. Buy a tiny glucometer (sugar checker) and bp cuff ,from your local drug store and check both frequently. Any other symptoms?

McMeanie87's picture

I have had panic attacks in the past but this is different, I feel like I'm starving once I start feeling funny..

When I first started my cut using Vikings 7 hours carb window system, I think maybe day 8, I experienced this. The thing was I had just got up and didn't go directly to the kitchen to eat. I brushed my teeth ands hit first then exactly what you said happened to me. I blacked out in the hall way momentarily. Very got and cold sweat.
Is this happening to you between meals when stomach is empty?

McMeanie87's picture

I eat at 7 am, 11am,1:30pm,4:00pm, 7pm..episode just hit me at 8:00..I eat like crazy so its not lack of food.
