+ 1 trt. a gateway to running aas?
Just wondering how many of you have discovered the idea of running a cycle after being on trt for awhile. I've always looked at steroids as a scary and taboo thing to do. But being on trt for over 2 years and studying more than my doctor on the subject. I figured since im on this for life I better read up on it. But as the time went by and my body steadily changed. my desire to get fit again has increased first for my health, my ego and mostly to be more desirable to my wife. I got my diet squared away went from an obese 235lbs to 182lbs at 5' 11 over a year and a half. During that time the idea of running a cycle entered my head. But I put it in the back of my mind. Kept telling myself I'm doing fine don't meet it yet. But I read up on a lot of info about running a first cycle and making sure my diet was planned out and had all my blood work done. After 2 years on trt I ran my first cycle and it was pretty damn awesome gained 25lbs and have kept about 15 lbs. Told the wife what I was planning on doing before to see what her reactions were. And she told me just to be safe and not do anything crazy. I can honestly tell you that I feel great and look even better. The Mrs can't keep her hands off me. And my 3 boys love the fact that their father isn't some fat beer guzzling dad anymore.

That's how I got started
It was for me!
I had previous experience with AAS during my early 30's to gain a little extra size whilst working the doors. This period was 2 x 12 week cycles. I never used again until 43.
I especially feel like shit around October - February (UK) mainly because I believed was the Dark Nights / Cold Weather. I decided to visit the Doc to get tested and this came back as 13 n/mol which is said was Normal offered me some Viagra and said see you later. I had lengthy discussions with my Wife and agreed that I could try some Test. I did a 12 week cycle, 6 weeks Sustanon 250mg and finished off with 6 weeks of Test-E 500mg.
I felt absolutely amazing in myself and this lasts for a couple of months or so after running PCT etc then I slowly go into decline again.
I am unsure as the whether Cycling 12 weeks a time or permanent weekly dosage would be more suited. If I am honest I probably don't want to commit to a lifetime of Test if I don't need it and can get away with running 12 weeks cycles.
If I switched to weekly I would estimate using 100 - 150mg of Test-E every 7 days with a couple of 12 week blasts each year.
The only downside for me is I get so strong and end up tearing a muscle during Grappling which I am currently Nursing just below my Oblique region. On a positive note it should heal quicker !!!!
Current age is 45 and 4 Kids so not worried about Fertility or Shrunken Balls if long term.
Yes, I am someone who never considered roids until I started researching TRT and went on replacement therapy.
When I ran searches for TRT I came up with more hits for uses to improve sports performance and bodybuilding than for TRT.
It was a post by a well known eroids mod that really got me interested in blasting.
He said that even though you should have a two year training base and low body fat, it is different for someone like me who is older,, has low T and can't effectively build muscle or lose weight.
This really made sense to me because even though I was working out, I was getting nowhere. So I decided to blast with the standard 500 mg test--and the body recomp was astounding.
I still blast as often as possible for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with competing or playing sports.
First is vanity. It sucks losing what little appeal I had to the opposite sex. At least now I can get laid if I offer to put a bag over my head.
Second is motivation. I just can't show up at the gym three days per week and do just enough to be healthy. It bores the living shit out of me. I need goals, to see progress, to push myself hard to stay motivated. I also don't like to waste money, so if I'm blasting I won't skip or do half-assed workouts or break my diet.
Third , I just don't want to be a weak, vulnerable old man. Even before I got bigger people told me I looked intimidating. Now all my kids friends say I look scary as fuck.
Since I have a stunning 16 year old daughter, looking scary as fuck is good. Really good.
I've thought about answering the door when her date comes to pick her up wearing a wife-beater with a gun tucked into my waistband, but I don't want to have to clean up all the piss off my porch!
I don't plan to stop cruising and blasting until my body just can't handle it any more.
I'm lucky I have 3 boys
aylmejoror aas. a gatewat to trt...
Well yeah. My original idea for my post wasn't supposed to turn into an autobio. It was just asking how many men who never considered steroids until they were on trt
First off: congrats on making all the right sound decisions before jumping on a cycle. Realizing you needed to lose weight first and dial in your diet while researching cycles is the most mature thing I have read on this board in a long time. So cudos! +1
Secondly: Irish has a point. If your blood tests are checked by your doc on a regular 3 month basis than short ester cycles is going to be the best way to go for you unless you have a cool doc who would rather know what you are doing so he or she can monitor your progress in a healthy way. Also learning to get labs on your own and knowing what to look for in the labs so you can adjust your cycles and come off in a timely manner to bring all the right indicators back into their perspective regions before your medical exams. Primarily FSH, LH, Test and free test also Sex Binding Globulan Hormone (SBGH) and Albumin levels. The last two are responsible for how much free test there actually is as apposed to bound test.
My first year we had bloods done every 6 weeks until we reached a protocol that had me consistently at 800ish levels. Now we just do biannual bloods to make sure all are in order. I waited until after my last blood work to make sure everything was in great order before starting if anything came back not right I would've waited until it was fixed. Got blood work done at 6 weeks and showed my wife's friend who is a doctor who knew I was going to start a cycle. She has helped me with this process throughout. She is one of those cool docs and is a fitness nut herself and is my occasional workout buddy
If you have any elevated levels before your blood work the doc will shut you down or prescribe a lesser dose. Research that as much as you can.
