+ 2 Having a bad day at the gym?
Do you feel weak today? Can't come close to doing the same weight this week like you did last week? Wonder what's wrong ? My gear must be bunk .., or I need to up my dosage that will fix it ... Well I hate to break it to you but it's not it!!!! How can this be ?? It's simple on word .. DIET!!!!! What you had to eat yesterday will directly affect the next days work out, didn't eat enough calories ? Maybe you consumed a few beers ? What a few people don't realize is everything had to click and work together from sleep.. To nutrition .. To giving 110% in the gym and not half ass your workouts. So my point is if your having a off day or week sit down and be honest with yourself and go through the meals you had the day before and did your rest enough I promise you will find the answer!!!

Diet is key definitely!
But besides I try to stay calm when I have a bad session. The body isn't a machine and i just try to accept that. However it is good to be aware of ur diet and rest and even stress levels.
After about 20years in the gym I go more for my 'body feeling'. That's skipping body parts or changing order of split according to how the specific muscles feel. And I lately I EVEN SKIPP sessions if I don't feel like.
To me less is more esp in exercise ...
I read a lot on here and everywhere about calorie intake, but isn't quality over quantity important? I've been force feeding myself for 2 weeks trying to eat 2300 calories a day. I cannot do it, I simply can't. I can comfortable eat about 1600 calories a day. But it's healthy calories, I think sometimes we put too much thought into the numbers.
Calories are calories. You need a certain amount of calories per day to maintain your body (which for a grown man with some muscle mass is way higher than 2300 kcal/day). Yes, you do need fiber, you do need certain aminoacids, you do need certain fatty acids, but if you ate enough of them that day (or supplemented them) you can eat whatever the fuck you want to give your body the energy it needs, as long as it isn't a lot of sugar (gets absorbed immediatly and cannot be put to use, so converted to fat).
Bro, just keep stuffing yourself and drink yourself even fuller with water afterwards. I always had a hard time eating 2500kcal, now I can eat over 2000kcal in one meal and bulk on 4500 kcal a day!
Also, drink whole milk, so many free calories and great macros!
Hope this helped

Spot on bro. If I haven't eaten right that day I basically know my workouts will not be as good as they could be. Nutrition Is the most important aspect of this game. I know if I'm not making progress its never my rest or workouts, its always my nutrition.
Way to recognize this
You mean the half gallon of ice cream I ate last night is affecting me today!?! That's just crazy talk! ;-)
