Bulking on a budget?
ad
Hey guys,
Seeing as we all have expenses that limit our bulking, whether it be cars, mortgages, kids, your beautiful but extremely expensive spouse, what ever the reasons we have to make sacrifices that keep us from eating as clean as you can. What s your secret?
I know we have all done the protein oatmeal for breakfast and steak and potatoes for dinner. I'm looking for more exciting CHEAP solutions.
If you have any throw em on the board!

Darron614Seems like a lot of guys are going with the gallon or half gallon of milk every day. If it doesn't bother your stomach that is... Also, lots of peanut butter, just eat it straight up.
Cheapest source of quality protein for me in chicken. Buy around 10kgs at a time and freeze it in portions.
Then carbs are already cheap, wholewheat pasta is a fav of mine. Got a rice steamer too, cost around £20 but cooks perfect rice each time. Cook few days worth, let it cool then put it in the fridge. Just reheat the amount you need at the time. Quick and cheap!
Keep it simple. Go to your local Sams club and look at the protein/carb stuff they have. Fish, Chicken, etc. Tilapias are cheap and good source of protein. Chicken you can get a big bag of for cheap. Eggs. Tuna.
When you guys drink milk, shat type do you use full fat, semi skimmed or skimmed?
Thicker the better my man
AnonTuna, Half Gallon of milk a day (or more), peanut butter, chicken breast..etc
When you shop for meat try to find the Specials section, its a section with random pieces of meat marked down becase they need to be sold soon. Also just spend more time inside shopping.
Sam' club has a bag, 6 pounds of chicken breast for $10. Dollar tree has tuna(white solid albacore) for $1 buck, wal mart has protein powder (body fortress i would reccomend you the strawberry flavor)2 pounds for $15.
The secret IMO is to keep it simple man, i cook my 2 pounds of chicken in the morning along with rice in bag and broccolli. I eat that in 3 meals along with egg whites and snacks(protein bars) between meals. I usually get 350-380 grms protein/day. Hope this helps. Been on budget for a few now and u learn to administrate ur $$$ if u keep things simple. Cheers and happy grow.
SwolePatrole7Winn dixie i get 3 pounds of chicken breast frozen for like 8$...i really dont think it gets any cheaper than that..thats like lunch for 3 days..i get frozen broccoli and thats cheap as dirt and i just microwave steam it..so cheap and so nutritious its the most ideal bodybuilding lean meal there is, if your bulking just throw in a sweet potato for another 75 cents lol
TUNA!!! a huge can is like a dollar and has 55g protein.
just squirt a little mustard on it and its good to go straight from can.
I use red wine vinegar
it tastes good? I'll have to try that. I just use hot sauce. But to be honest I put hotsauce on everything I'm starting to get heartburn
