Now we are making a little headway.
I think you are absolutely right. Kids spend 3 hours a day killing people on video games every day of their life and it becomes a fantasy and obsession. Combine that with, shitty parenting, overmedication, and Neverhaving to work a day in their lives and we have a whole coctail of shit.

Just so you know, my kids are 8 and 6 and we just got them their first video game at Christmas, and so far they only play it once in a while . And no killing games !
Also at least 6 out of the seven nights, all four of us sit at the table for dinner.

As far as video games go...So far none at my house. However we have a shooting range on the property and my kids love it.
Thats something bro...The dinner table thing. I think one of the best things in the world is to sit down as a family and have dinner together. Just to talk. I like asking the kids about their days and It's a good thing. Maybe that's the problem with people.

Because we CAN its one of our RIGHTS in this country. America was founded on these beliefs and that's why we left Europe and England to start out own country cause we were sick of the bullshit. Another thing, most Americans don't "carry" around automatic weapons, most Americans who are registered firearm owners carry a small pistol, and most ppl who own AK's, AR's and semi-auto rifles like that are hobbyists who do it because they have a passion for guns. You also need a certain license to own fully automatic weapons. And bro, no gun law they ever pass will stop fucking Mexican cartels (for example) from bringing in massive amounts of ILLEGAL automatic weapons into our country, specifically to kill people for drugs. And because of crazy motherfuckers like them, I OWN a gun! Because I'm not gonna be the one who gets caught up in a shoot out without my firearms to defend myself and my family. And that has been happening more and more lately, so my advice is to go get a gun. Everyone should at least own a .22 caliber rifle, people talk shit about .22's but they are proven deadly up to 400 yards!!
I guess I will never fully understand you guys, that must be because I live in a country where I don't need a gun to protect myself, where people don't go breaking into other people's house at night, where we enjoy a relative peace of mind. I wouldnt move to the US if you paid me 10M$ a year, just like you guys would probably never move to Canada under any circumstances. Still the fact is, Canada is safer than the US and we have less guns.
You guys are largely protected, as is Europe, by American taxpayers.
You can't own a military weapon. One cannot own a full automatic gun in the US. (Well unless you have the classification on your FFL but that's pretty rare and costly) We are talking about a semi-automatic weapon that looks like a military rifle but shoots like a hunting rifle.

I use mine all the time. I hunt ducks and geese with a semi-auto Benelli. It's a smooth feed and efficient.
I have a number of pistols that are semi-auto. They are mainly for personal protection. If 3 guys break into my house, I can fire, fire, fire, and fire again. Without having to cock it each time, just pull the trigger.

No, I don't personally think that my government is going to attack me or conquer me. But my country was built on a constitution that guarantees my freedom from an oppressive government. Who knows what will happen in 10-15-50 years. Take a look at history, you'll find tyrannical governments in almost every civilization. I protect that right for my children and their children.

I don't think that they would ever go door to door. I think the first step would be mandatory registration of all firearms just to find out who has what, followed up by a "Voluntary" Confiscation. All who won't submit will be criminalized, fined etc.

If congress decides to make a new gun law.. Which i doubt that the will.. there are two problems they will have to fight against..

By forming a regulated militia.—what I see coming if the gun law is passed is you will see.. The problem that we have with this current president is his willingness to bypass congress and run gun control through by executive order. That's how he will piss on your second ammendment. He doesn't need congress to pass anything.

If you are going to do that you need to follow these steps..

■3/4 of state legislatures approve
