Critique my Diet
Okay, I am 40yrs. old on TRT and trying to drop some body fat. I take in around 1800 calories per day with 55% proteins, 30% carbs, and 15% fats. So, here is my current diet:
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with green pepper and onion cooked in .5tsp of olive oil, 4oz. fruit(pineapple, grapes, blueberries, strawberries etc..), cup of coffee with 1pk. splenda, large glass of water(about 1 liter): I also take 1 animal pack, 320mg saw palmetto, 900mg fish oil, 1 liv52, 2 osteo-biflex.
Morning Snack: 4oz. chicken breast with mrs. dash or 3oz. cooked shrimp(with alittle cocktail sauce), piece of fruit(apple, banana, orange, etc..), 15g shelled almonds or shelled walnuts, about 1 liter of water.
Lunch: romaine/spinach mix with tomatoes, onion, green pepper, 4oz. chicken breast and 1tbsp. kraft roasted red pepper italian dressing with parmesan, about 1 liter water.
Afternoon Snack: 3oz. shrimp with alitte cocktail sauce or 4oz. chicken breast with mrs. dash, piece of fruit, 15g almonds or walnuts, large water.
Dinner: 4oz. baked fish with mrs. dash, or 4oz. chicken breast with mrs. dash or 6oz. sirlion/fillet, large helping of brocilli, small salad with alittle dressing, large water.
Other: Syntha 6 protein drink(around 3 per day), another animal pak and liv52 with one of my other meals.
I do mix it up now and then for example, yesterday for dinner I had chili(red beans, tomatoes, tomatoe sauce, onion, ground sirlion and some added chili powder for flavor). I love chili.
So, anything you guys or gals would change?

Well I do know that if you're trying to burn BF and lean out, you'll want to eat more often. It seems like you make healthy choices. I don't go more than 3 house without eating. Keep your metabolism running fast
How tall are you and what is your current weight?
5'9 1/2" and 180 lbs.
Your stats are very similar to mine. i'm 5' 9" , 190lbs @ 10% bf. I'm taking in anywhere between 5-6,000 cal/day. I'm looking to pack on 20lbs and remain at 10% bf however. Are you trying to gain lean mass along with bf drop?
Where do you think your bodyfat % is? My first thought is that your overall calorie level is to low for your height and weight. Your body may be in starvation mode limiting your fat loss.
my bodyfat is around 18-19%, although i used a tape measure, scale, and calculator to come up with it. however, the gym i go to has a device you enter info and hold it out in front of you, and it is always in line with my method. i need one of those bodyfat scales or skin calipers.
I think I bought a set of calipers and fancy tape on Amazon for less than $10
