Can gear leak out?

ad

just a quick question. when i inject my quads with my 23G i usually leave it in for 10-15 secs, pull out then put pressure on it for about 10-20 secs. i was wondering if gear can leak out? because after i inject i always tend to keep touching the injection spot to see if any gear leaks out but i never feel anything haha

This is a perfect post for what I'm currently going through. My question relates, but is more focused on post-inject bleeding. Do you assume that bleeding post-inject is loss of gear also? More blood=more gear loss?

I recently had an inject bleed more than normal (stream of blood down arm) and I didn't know if the gear was deep enough to be good or I should re-inject... sorry to hi-jack thread.. but on same topic

I had a injection of Cortisone done by my GP a few week ago. He's been a GP 20+ years and was explaining to me that - when a little of the cortisone came out - that's completely normal and entirely no big deal amount wise. He went onto say if you inject slower -like over a minute plus - it can help but you have to factor in patient discomfort. He did make a big deal about using a plaster afterwards for hygiene purposes which I never do.

Rarely...i use 25G at quads and i apply pressure and massage after injection to disperse the oil.

Yes but should only be a little. You could go to a 25g on the quads and minimize it further. Just from my experience I get more (even though it is only a small amount) leakage the larger the needle is. When doing larger volume injections on the glutes I will also have a little leak out from time to time.

I do get more leakage from my shoulders than other injection sites.
