+ 8 training 3 to 4 days a week

ad

I was having a little but if trouble gaining until I read one of catalyst's posts talking about training 3-4 days a week while you are bulking. Switched it up the middle of last week and bam, shot up 5 lbs. Def some fat but this is the first winter I dgaf about staying lean. If you are no gaining at the rate you want to be I def suggest you drop your training frequency and increase intensity

Nice brother seems to be working for you.
This is a interesting approach.+1

Looking stellar brother! I always love your physique pics! Great shape, pleasing aesthetics and flowing contours and tie-ins! I totally agree with this training philosophy for bulking purposes! Greatly anticipating the mammoth Levelup in the weeks to come! Great work as is usual brother! +2 for switching gears and making the necessary changes to achieve your goals! That's never easy!

It wont be a problem...even from where i am at now i could still prep and be ready in 12 weeks. i won't pick up much more fat than right now either...my stomach is always a little weird bc I lost a little bit of elasticity from being a fat fuck before. My goal now is not to leave any size on the table

Thank fuck someone is backing me up on 3 day training for bulking...... i feel like i have been pissing into the wind lately trying to help folks grow with this principle instead of over-training and wasting the food intake we all force down each day (or should be, aimed at those that eat like fkn budgies).

Looking good bro..... +3

Thanks vike! It must be mostly a British thing lol...you and catalyst preach it but a lot of people are so stubborn. I need a lot of mass this off season and knew I had to rework my approach.

Well if you think about it, you truly grow during recovery.. so the more true recovery time the more chance for the muscle to heal and grow... I also read something about the nervous system having to recover... This is a copy and paste I got from a guy called Big A.

A muscle will not grow until it's recovered. The
muscle will not begin to recover until the nervous
system is recovered. It takes roughly 24hours for the
nervous system to recover from a workout. Only then
will the muscle begin to recover and grow. So, you
should never train 2 days in a row. Even if you train
different bodyparts, you still use the same nervous
system. You train 2 days in a row, your nervous system
recovers, but by the time the muscles begin to, you
train again, so the body has to concentrate again on
recovering the nervous system.
A training frequency of 3 days per week (Mon, Wed,
Fri) is more than enough. Numerous pros, including
myself, train like this offseason for maximum growth.
Even if you use streroids, you still have to train
like this. Steroids increase your recovery ability,
but they also make you stronger at a quicker rate. The
extra strength will give you the ability to train
harder/tear more muscle tissue, so you will need the
extra recovery that the steroids will give you.

That's some good insight. It was more of a mental habit for me to break...I always thought if I wasn't doing anything in the gym 6 days a week I was coming up short

Oh, anyways looking stellar brother +1

Fucking traps are insane. Wheels looking good to. Training 3-4 days is great for putting on pure mass in the offseaon.

Thanks brotha...that's the plan all the way until around june or july

Absolutely! Joints are already starting to feel better

your a lil taller then me bro and a lil lighter. You have very good genetics for this game. 5'8" is a great height for weightlifters. Trap and delt development is exceptional. Your legs are solid and compact holding a good amount of muscle mass. Ide be curious to see you do two things. 1.a winter bulker (i think you could get huge) 2. Ide like to see more chest development. Focus on incline movements. If you can add some mass to that upper chest it would change the game for you bro. +1

Less is better for our body types. I laugh at training 7 days a week. Im in the gym 6 hours a week

Thanks brother. Unfortunately I way more than you its just not all good weight....you are much more dense and better Conditioned. I am going to be an on very long bulk for about 7-9 months. Definitely spot on with chest development...right now my right shoulder rolls in from an old Injury...so much tightness and knots thru my front delt, pec, and lat that I am losing the ability to fully recruit the muscles on that side. I'm about two weeks into therapy to fix that and starting dry needling in 2 weeks...as soon as it is fixed I can focus on putting mass on the chest and some more size on arms as well.
