Hey bud I take 200 mg a day at different times bc of the way I work. I don't take it for a pre workout but you will have laser focus while on it probably some of the best workouts I've ever had.

I work 12 hour shift work and still hit the gym either before or after work depending on whether I'm working days or night.....been wondering how this stuff helps and if it's going to jack my brain up psychologically? How far ahead of your sleep schedule to take it? And how long does it last? This stuff intrigues me but something also has me very hesitant to try it
I get it prescribed from a doctor it's honestly changed my work life. But i work a mad schedule (mid afternoon and days) I change shifts every week five to six work days a week. It's an awful schedule soon as I'm used to sleeping at night it's switched up then I'm working at night. I haven't heard it messing anyone up psychologically just speculation. It last about 12-15 hrs so I have no problem going to sleep.
Thanks for the info...I may check into some more and see about getting a script. I feel you on the crazy schedule, it's nothing for me to work two weeks straight 12hours a day switching from nights to days and then back to nights with no break in between. It can reek havoc on you mentally......do you feel dependent on this at all? Are there days where you dont take it to give yourself a break?
What I love about modafinil is it doesn’t jack your brain up as you described like a stimulant for me it just really helps with focus and motivation not speedy like a stimulant if that makes sense
I have a very addictive personality but even with that I don't feel I have to take it everyday I don't take it on my days off. Yeah I hate swing shift been on it four years and still not used to it . But modafinil has helped me so much however it's hard to get a doc to write it bc it's a narcotic.
