Worked Triceps & Biceps today. Pump was so crazy i could barely flex!!! Hoping to make more improvements this cycle. Carbs are still pretty high so crazy definition isn't my main goal. Just trying to add some quality mass to my arms.

If you had one piece of advice to give to us guys trying to flat bulk up, what would it be?
Thanks!

Never2big's picture

Dang man looking like Dex Jackson here!
8 years??? ...I'll bet it's been a consistent 8 yrs!

GymHeavyBro's picture

Thanks man yeah it's been a consistent 8years would of been 10 if I didn't get injured. It's hard for me to answer your question not sure what a flat bulk means. Did you mean a lean bulk?

Never2big's picture

What I meant what advice would you give to
someone who's sole purpose in the gym is to bulk for the time being.
By saying "flat bulk" I mean solely a bulk.
Not necessarily a lean bulk..
Thanks man!
Not sure how to give points yet but I'm fresh to the community and will be keeping notes on how to do so.

Well depends on your genetics. I'm a hard gainer so I do little to no cardio honestly. If I do any cardio I'm walking or I'm doing high reps with little to no rest in between sets. If your running or playing sports I advise you to cut back on it a little. As its robbing you from your gains unless you can compensate with the added calories as needed.in between sets. My advice is eat, eat, eat! Can't get big without eating big. Carbs & Calories are your best friend when trying to pack the size on. Don't be afraid to throw some cheat meals into the equation. This is a great way to shock your body into some new growth. On top of the extra added carbs & calories I like to take Serious Mass as my weight gainer shake....Adds a whopping 1640 calories w/ milk & 291 grams of carbs. Good stuff I swear by this stuff. Hope this helps if you want to know more I'll answer any questions when I can

Never2big's picture

You bet it helps!
Thanks for your reply, as it's cool when someone can take a little time to educate others.
I'm 6" and around 215 lbs at I'm guessing 10-15% bf.
I don't do much cardio myself. Never really seen the need to. Wanna get to 230 or 235.
I'm 34.
Love Syntha-6 protein and yes I understand
the need to feed and feed ourselves efficiently the right foods.
I will ponder the thought of eating more though!
Thanks again big guy.

I keep looking at that arm. My arm is 18 1/2" cold and right around 19 1/2" pumped and your arm looks huge. Way bigger then mine. I almost think your well over 20". I am around 6'1" maybe that has something to do with it

GymHeavyBro's picture

That's pretty solid! No its 20'' bro & I wish it was bigger.... 19 1/2 isn't a small arm at all the reason why my arm appears so much bigger is because my limbs are much shorter than yours & compacted. With you being 6'1'' you have to fill out more of an area. My shoulders are pretty big as well and i pretty decent separation so it gives the illusion my arms are much bigger than what they really are.

how many times do you train arms per week?

GymHeavyBro's picture

Biceps & Triceps are trained ONCE a week. Honestly they're hit twice a week if you think about it technically because anytime you hit back your training biceps & anytime you train Chest or shoulders your incorporating your Triceps. I just recently started training ARMS on a separate day alone. Before using this method I would train CHEST/BICEPS & BACK w/ TRICEPS! My logic of thinking was that i would get the most out of my PRIMARY muscle being worked & the most out of the OPPOSITE secondary muscle that would be worked that day depending on if it was a PUSH or PULL day. If i were to Train CHEST/TRICEPS I wouldn't get the most out of my TRICEPS or CHEST because of the fact they work in sync with each other. So that's why i trained with the opposite muscle. This has worked for me but I think a separated day for just ARMS may shock some NEW growth.
