+ 12 2 1/2 months after Drs. release
ad
this is a progress pic after 2.5 months of being released from my Dr. to start lifting Light. I am advised to stay under 200lbs in all my exercises, and do not work out more than 3 times a week. It's been 9 months since a spinal fracture took me out of the game. It is frustrating to not be able to max out, but I am grateful, and Thankful to be able to work out. Many people who suffer similar injuries never fully recover and are forced to take norcos for life. I have been off pain meds 4 months and feel great. 218 LBS, 34" WAIST 42 YEARS YOUNG
STAY STRONG..., MIND, BODY, & SPIRIT

Still looking good brother Noob! Wishing you nothing but the best moving forward! Thankfully you will fully recover and not be dependent on pain medication! Speaking personally, the older I became, higher reps with lighter weight became a necessity! +2 for looking great, being resilient and keeping an always positive attitude! Much respect!
Wow! Big difference mane! Good Job!

Definitely have to look on the bright side. You came a long way, got knocked off your perch, and now you're back in the game. Very lucky. Take it slow and remember, you do not need heavy weight!! Heavy weights generally lead to problems, especially later in life. Good luck bro and keep at it. +1
Hey brother, sorry to hear about the injury but glad to see its not holding you back. Very strong and smart individual to get off the pain meds successfully, keep up the hard work, its definitely showing.
Some great progress brother !! You walk the walk , no matter easy or hard one , this i respect my brother
You are doing excellent ! Thats some serious progress for that time
Respect from me

RustyhookerFrank Zane was a high rep, chiseled baddass. You can do anything even with limitations.
noob941Rusty You have been in my corner since day 1. when I was a Jabba the hut fat ass, Thank you my friend,
Good work +
noob941thanks brother, iron carpentry sounds like a bad ass trade!
Came along bro never loose site of your goals
noob941thanks fam, couldn't have made it this far without you, and a couple of other homies keeping me motivated!
Some clear progress in 2.5 months bro...keep at it.
noob941waxon-waxoff brother
Keep up the hard work brother slow and steady to keep yourself in good health!!+1
noob941Thanks BW,
Glad to hear you're on the mend, just take it easy getting yourself back in the game.
noob941You know it Cat. this experience is teaching me patience for sure. And one good thing about light weights is my form is improving across the board.
You know what, can be a good thing. I had two rotator cuff surgeries in ten months and it forced me to change the way I train. I don't push the same weight I used to, but my shoulders look better than ever due to training with greater volume and better form.
Good luck mate.
Slow and steady wins the race bro. Just keep at it. I only do low weight lifts. Seems like if I push it too hard I tend to hurt myself. Especially my knees. It only took six surgeries to figure that out. +1
noob941thanks FB, Man I can't lie the pain was bad, but what fucked me up and got me on point was the doc talking about bone fragment shifts and paralysis. After that statement, I was a model patient, lol!
Richard.SimmonsI'm not a big fan of maxing out. I think you should not worry about maxing out but make small goals. Really what's one rep at a heavyweight going to do for yea? stretching exercises Would probably be best but I'm not a doctor? Than slowly move to weights ? Good luck and keep us updated.
noob941thanks P, and honestly I think it is an ego thing, I want to be able to brag to family, friends, and co-workers about how awesome I am and how much I can lift. PRIDE COMETH BEFORE A FALL, and it was showing off that lead to the injury. check ur PM
Richard.SimmonsAtleast your honest about it. Hopefully guys will read that and learn from it.
That's great brother, good luck. Hope it all works out and you get back lifting like you want. Looks like you have a great build/base, The thought of a serious back injury scares the hell out of me, that' awesome you don't need pain meds anymore, like you said most that suffer something like that are on them for life. I know people that are exactly that too. +
noob941thanks brother, I am one of those guys who love squats, and it sux when 185 is as heavy as I can lift, But I too am scared of permanent damage, so it's doctors orders to the letter.
