I don't remember who asked me. There were a few of you. Anyone who asked about getting sponsorship for the upcoming EBC ,you can go ahead and request it as you normally would. For now its fine. It doesn't fall into the "begging for gear" category at the moment. So the guys who came to me that were worried about breaking rules, you have a green light.

AnonNo it's not. You can enter regardless of any source affiliation. I'd actually love to see a guy run his own home brew exclusively. Now that would be awesome! Totally self sufficient.
I saw this discussion elsewhere and I think you are wrong. You have to attach a source, that is the whole point of the contest to show the effectiveness of sources here
yeah u can just tag whichever sources gear you are using. some peeps are going to be "sponsored" tho. meaning the source is hooking them up to get the word out about their gear.

angusNot trying to hijack your thread Nitti, but I want to say it was disturbing to see that some people got sponsored by sources in the last EBC and didn't even finish. If you get someone to back you then you have a responsibility to that source to see things through regardless of circumstances. You have their name on your photos and are representing them, that's a big deal especially to the source. If people continue to get sponsorships and don't finish there is no reason for that source to sponsor any one else. Some will see it as just free gear and not respect it, and that will ruin it for the rest. Get sponsored if you can, rock that EBC and bring the love and trophy home for your source!

X2 I think I asked 2 sources and both of them responded that they had already sponsored "so and so". Funny thing is well so and so didnt finish for both teams... Anyways I didnt take it to heart Im still a small guy here but Im proud that I finished and maybe In the future a source will approach me, If you get sponsored you should be busting your ass making that source not regret their decision, Congrats again on the win big A

I'll buy my gear from a source a trust. If they like what they see afterwards they would be more than welcome to send me a gift cert or some free gear then. I'll let the results speak for me. Then if I don't produce to their liking they are not out anything, I don't feel like I let them down and everyone can live happily ever after.

angusTotally agree, you can go here LINK, scroll down and see where one source sponsored three different contestants that didn't post finishing pictures in the last EBC. Now IDK their reasoning for it, maybe they have a wonderful excuse.......like they're dead! But it's painful to see shit like that.
2 of them had technical trouble posting their final pics by the deadline and asked for an extension, from what I recall.
Right on. The only incentive a source has to sponsor anyone is the changes made in your physique while using their gear. Very disrespectful to bail when you've been backed.

Read after the recomp that it will be announced in 2 weeks so hopefully it will be announced soon. I'm having to tweak my cycle at moment so it would be great to know. Can really plan then, cant beat having a deadline to aim for. Think there a lot who want to know bro.
