+ 2 Labs Help?

ad

Hey guys, haven't been here in a while. I've been on .25ml of testosterone cypionate per week for around a six months. This is all my private doc will give me. Had my labs taken yesterday. Any comments are welcome. Guess I'd like to know if my levels are good, and what can I do to make them better? Doc will not up my dose. Already tried. Thanks in advance.

@herdpm, this post is 16 months old as I type my comment. Fill us in on any steps you have (or haven't) taken regarding your own TRT and health. Your comments add to the data here on eroids to help other men (and women) make intelligent decisions going forward in their own health. Thank you!

Well, I haven't been on TRT for about the last 8 or 9 months. Family doc had me on 1ml of 200mg Cypionate a month (1 shot), which only had me feeling better for about a week. My doc closed his practice and I really haven't had access to treatment. New insurance plan doesn't cover it. I did attempt a Clomid restart a few weeks ago, and it did raise my T levels significantly, but didn't help with symptoms much at all (felt worse in some ways.) I'm trying to get treatment at my local VA Medical Center, but don't have much hope, as I don't think I'm low enough to qualify for treatment, and if I do, treatment will probably be minimal. Basically, felt like crap for the past 8 months, gained weight, no motivation, no libido, sleepy, etc. So, I'm strongly considering doing my own TRT. Will definitely do bloods first and begin conservatively with Test only then retake bloods. I would have begun before now, but I'm frankly scared to death of not having a prescription. Any help is really appreciated.

Have you had your thyroid levels checked? I was feeling similar on TRT (and before) and found my levels were a bit low and now I'm on a low dose of t4 and I feel great. Get it checked.

You might want to edit out some of that personal information in there, lab numbers, addresses, date of blood draw, etc, anything that might be traced back to you at a later date.

Lets say, 2 months from now you make a comment that you're going to make a purchase online from one of the many sources here.

With the information in your lab report if un- edited you've given them enough information to find you if they wanted to go after you.

Good idea. Done.

I think one of the Mod's ( last night ) edited out the address that was there.

ETA: I as a rule, slightly alter my actual lab numbers when posting here. The difference between a 575 (actual) and a posted online number of 574 or 577 is not enough to scue the advice given,............ but makes it harder for LE to identify you.

Better safe and out of jail,....... ...than locked up and a lawyer feasting on your gear budget.

YMMV

Your dose may sound low but given your bloods, it is right on the mark. Your body must just absorb well. I take twice your dose and am still only around 400.

Doctors are trained to always use the lowest dosage of any medication to achieve the desired result in order to minimize possible side effects.

If you want a higher prescribed dose you will probably need to see an anti-aging clinic. Their "desired results" are different from your GP's.

whoops.

Bloodwork looks good. Potassium could be 4.0, but it is not an issue. Estradiol is in range. I see normal results for a TRT patient being treated adequately under a licensed MD. How do you feel? And what is your T level prior to TRT? Are you taking anything to lower estrogen?

herdpm's picture

Well, I don't feel as energized as I did when I first started, but my dose is much lower now. Only taking testosteron cypionate at present. My levels prior to trt was around 280. I started with a web-based program, and I was on a boatload of Testosterone, an AI, and HCG. It just seemed way too much for me. My toal T then was 1160. I guess I feel ok, just wondering if a little more testosterone would be better. I know more is not always better. Thanks for the comments.

EROIDS is a great place to be. Stay around and network with this family. There is a lot to learn and you will benefit from being here, asking questions, reading the stickies and getting involved. Hang out in the Over Forty and TRT Group. Glad you are here.

herdpm's picture

Don't know why I forgot to ask this weeks ago, but I noticed that the following results are LOW on my bloodwork:

Luteinizing Hormone(LH), S

LH 0.1 LOW 1.7-8.6 mIU/mL 01

FSH, Serum

FSH <0.2 LOW 1.5-12.4 mIU/mL 01
1 of 2Estradiol

Estradiol 8.2 7.6-42.6 pg/mL 01
Roche ECLIA methodology

Can anyone tell me what this means? I just don't feel as good as I have in the past on TRT, do the above values contribute to low sex drive, aches, and pains, etc? I'm 50 years old by the way.

Thanks.

Your LH and FSH will always be low when you are on TRT, no concerns there. Your estrogen is on the lower side but nothing terrible. Are you still taking an AI or just the cypionate?

herdpm's picture

Well, this is from about a year ago. I've been off TRT for some time, but considering going back on. I'd hate to see what my labs are now, considering how I feel. Getting labs this week. Thanks.
