HOW IMPORTANT IS ALKALIZING THE BODY?!?!?!?

Let's first talk about what alkalinity is and what is acidic? When talking alkalinity and acidic we are specifically talking about pH levels. The pH scale is based on a 1-14 point scale. 1 being totally acidic which will burn a hole through steal and 14 being pure alkaline. So what does that mean? That means anytime pH levels are below 7 acids start to build up which creates a less alkalized enviornment and a more toxic or acidic enviornment. So what does this mean for you and your body? Everything!!!!!!!! Well for starters your body has be run at a certain pH level for all your body, blood and organs to function properly and that pH level is 7.36 which is slightly alkaline on the scale. Just like your body temperature has to be at 98.6 degrees in order to function properly your pH levels need to be at 7.36 if it varys from that by even by 1 or 2 points and you would die instantly. Thats how important it is.
So what creates acidic enviornments? Everything!!!!!!! The pollutants in the air we breath, the food we eat, stress, our emotions (anger, resentment, frustration) working out too much, lack of sleep, everything we do is pretty much creating acidic enviornments. So what does the body do when theres too much acid. Well one thing it does is produce more fat to protect its self from the acid. So if your trying to lose weight you need pay close attention to you pH levels and create a more alkaline environment for you body!!!!! What also happens to your body in an acidic environment your body breaks down your blood thickens its harder for you blood to gain and transfer oxygen and you can actually see this under a microscope. Its actually pretty amazing!!!!
Acids also manifest in your weakest parts of your body. So if your liver is the weakest its going to start breaking down your liver, if your lungs are the weakest it will congregate there and start to destroy them as well. All this acid is what leads to the break down of your body and the beginning of disease, cancer, high blood pressure, fatigue, arthritis exct.
But what's the best part about this? All this can be prevented. How? By diet!!!!!! And knowing which foods your consuming lead to a more acidic environment or a more alkaline environment!!!!!!!! Greens!!!!!! Dark greens are some of the most alkaline foods available. Wheat grass especially is super alkaline!!!!!!!

Yes! Lemons are great and you would think they would be acidic but they actually have an alkalizing effect. Three times a day i mix chlorophyll Apple cider vinegar and lemon juice into a water bottle they are great!

"Cancer does not develop for some unknown reason. Once you understand why and how it develops, and learn how to support your body so that it may more effectively fight cancer, it may never be too late to get healthy again. (No matter what type, they have the same underlying causes.) Cancer is a natural process where, to put it simply, an overworked and weakened immune system cannot kill it as fast as it is multiplying. Toxin, carcinogens, radiation, even viruses, combined with an unhealthy internal environment , and in conjunction with a weakened immune system, cause more cells to turn cancerous, and allows them to thrive.

You must change your internal environment to one in which cancer cannot thrive. Just as we couldn't live on Mars with no oxygen, cancer can't exist in cells where there is enough oxygen. Unfortunately, all too often our cells are low in oxygen. Fortunately it is possible to increase the levels of oxygen in cells, thus, making your body's internal environment a place where cancer can't easily survive.

ACID vs. ALKALINITY

In chemistry, alkali solutions (pH over 7.0) tend to absorb oxygen, while acids (pH under 7.0) tend to expel oxygen. For example, a mild alkali can absorb over 100 times as much oxygen as a mild acid. Therefore, when the body becomes acidic by dropping below pH 7.0 (note: all body fluids, except for stomach and urine, are supposed to be mildly alkaline at pH 7.4), oxygen is driven out of the body thereby, according to Nobel Prize winner Otto Warburg, inducing cancer. Stomach fluids must remain acidic to digest food and urine must remain acidic to remove wastes from the body. Blood is the exception. Blood must always remain at an alkaline pH 7.4 so that it can retain its oxygen. When adequate mineral consumption is in the diet, the blood is supplied the crucial minerals required to maintain an alkaline pH of 7.4.

However when insufficient mineral consumption is in the diet, the body is forced to rob Peter (other body fluids) to pay Paul (the blood). In doing so, it removes crucial minerals, such as calcium, from the saliva, spinal fluids, kidneys, liver, etc., in order to maintain the blood at pH 7.4. This causes the de-mineralized fluids and organs to become acidic and therefore anaerobic, thus inducing not only cancer, but a host of other degenerative diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, lupus, etc.. Everyone knows that the human body is made up of 78% water by weight, and that water is hydrogen and oxygen gases. When nitrogen gas and carbon in the form of carbon dioxide and methane gases are added, the total gas in the body by weight becomes over 95%. Almost half of the remaining 5% that makes up the human body and controls all biological functions is the mineral calcium. No other mineral is capable of performing as many biological functions as is calcium. Calcium is involved in almost every biological function. This amazing mineral provides the electrical energy for the heart to beat and for all muscle movement. It is the calcium ion that is responsible for feeding every cell. It does this by latching on to seven nutrient molecules and one water molecule and pulls them through the nutrient channel. It then detaches its load and returns to repeat the process. Another important biological job for calcium is DNA replication, which is crucial for maintaining youth and a healthy body. DNA replication is the basis for all body repair and can only occur on a substrate of calcium.

Thus, low calcium means low body repair and premature aging. As important as all these and hundreds of other biological functions of calcium are to human health, none is more important than the job of pH control. Calcium to acid, is like water to a fire. Calcium quickly destroys oxygen robbing acid in the body fluids. Thus, the more calcium, the more oxygen, and therefore, the less cancer and other degenerative disease."

I understand your body has it's own mechanism to regulate it and releases pockets of alkalinity into your blood as a buffer for when you get to acidic just like you sweat to regulate your body temputre... If you would of done a little bit of reading and researching yourself you would have already know that informations is already in there.. So I have now idea what you are even talking about for that matter!!!! DId you even read the resources and links? It's not just a fad theres tons of science to back these finding up!!!! And YES IT DOES!!!!!!! if you stop being such and idiot and do some outside research for yourself then you will find out how dumb you really are!!!!! Human blood pH should be slightly alkaline ( 7.35 - 7.45 ). Below or above this range means symptoms and disease. A pH of 7.0 is neutral. A pH below 7.0 is acidic. A pH above 7.0 is alkaline.

An acidic pH can occur from, an acid forming diet, emotional stress, toxic overload, and/or immune reactions or any process that deprives the cells of oxygen and other nutrients. The body will try to compensate for acidic pH by using alkaline minerals. If the diet does not contain enough minerals to compensate, a build up of acids in the cells will occur.

An acidic balance will: decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients, decrease the energy production in the cells, decrease it's ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals, make tumor cells thrive, and make it more susceptible to fatigue and illness. A blood pH of 6.9, which is only slightly acidic, can induce coma and death.

The reason acidosis is more common in our society is mostly due to the typical American diet, which is far too high in acid producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy, and far too low in alkaline producing foods like fresh vegetables. Additionally, we eat acid producing processed foods like white flour and sugar and drink acid producing beverages like coffee and soft drinks. We use too many drugs, which are acid forming; and we use artificial chemical sweetners like NutraSweet, Spoonful, Sweet 'N Low, Equal, or Aspartame, which are poison and extremely acid forming. One of the best things we can do to correct an overly acid body is to clean up the diet and lifestyle.

To maintain health, the diet should consist of 60% alkaline forming foods and 40% acid forming foods. To restore health, the diet should consist of 80% alkaline forming foods and 20% acid forming foods.

Generally, alkaline forming foods include: most fruits, green vegetables, peas, beans, lentils, spices, herbs and seasonings, and seeds and nuts.

Generally, acid forming foods include: meat, fish, poultry, eggs, grains, and legumes.

And it's humorous to say that oxygen is the most harmful things we put in our bodies!!!! Come on if you know anything about cancer you know that the lack of oxgygen to cells is what leads to cancer in the first place and that is exactly why you need to alkalize your body and blood!!!!! Go look at your blood under a microscope when your more acidic and then when your more alkalized you can buy the strips at your local drug store for a few bucks!!!!!! Then come back and talk to me!!!!! You are completly ignorant and talk about intenlligence please!!!! Spare me you have no idea!!!!!

A couple years back I was training for a fight I had to drop 10 pounds and I wanted to do it right. I went on the alkaline diet.; I felt great, I also won the fight ... One bad thing about that diet in perticular was I was as lean as lean could be and couldnt keep muscle on to save my life ! But for someone that has alot of self control and wants to be lean it would be a perfect fit
